How to Get There
The hotel purports to be 4 star and in reality is no more than 3 star. We stayed in a superior double room with a sea view , which was small by any normal standard and whilst adequately furnished it was tired. The carpet was badly marked and well worn needing replacement. The bathroom was adequate as was the separate toilet. Everything worked. We were there for 4 nights and the coffee was not replaced once we used the two provided. The first night we booked in the hotel's restaurant, Siecle, and although the staff were welcoming and friendly the service of food was slow. The food itself was very disappointing so much so other than the breakfast which was included we did not eat in the hotel again. The breakfast was adequate and nothing special and was serve yourself at the buffet hot and cold. Restocking of items was slow once it ran out which was frequent. All the staff were friendly and helpful and made you welcome and the hotel was clean. We will not be returning to that hotel.
A beautiful Hotel built in 1842, the Hotel West End, a jewel of the Belle Epoque, is located on the Promenade des Anglais, overlooking the beach and the Azure Sea. The sea facing rooms with a balcony are amazing . Step out and you are immediately in the middle of the happening promenade....walk along or sit and gaze around. Without leaving your room you feel part of the city and nature too. Beautiful ambience and feel.
We loved our stay here - get an ocean-view room! The staff was wonderful and the location was tremendous. We loved our room with a balcony, overlooking the promenade and the glorious, blue ocean. Conveniently across the street from Blue Beach, which made for a great day on the beach!
This is a great hotel for an early morning flight from the Nice airport. A standard room is small however , very clean with fresh linens and bathroom toiletries that are quite nice. All the staff are very professional offering assistance and providing information. The entrance to the hotel and main lobby are comfortable and enticing after a long day . When you book add on your breakfast - it's less expensive
than paying as you go. I would return however, would probably upgrade to a larger room.
This was my second time in Nice, first time at the hotel. This is a great hotel in the perfect location. Not far from the old town and harbor. We walked alot!
The rooms are small but totally fine, we had a balcony which was great. Breakfast was included and had a great selection. The cappuccino was amazing! My ONLY complain was the pillows were flat and the bed was hard. But other than that, I would highly recommend this hotel.
