How to Get There
We spent 7 days in this hotel - which to be fair was our mistake. It is setup for coach parties who only stay one night, maybe two. Reception staff are ok but nothing special (though they think they are). Rooms are basic - even the Deluxe ones (which are far from Deluxe imho). The outside noise is horrendous - Nice is a noisy, dirty city with roadworks and building renovations everywhere - and the builders start anytime they like - 6.30am for example so forget sleeping. Breakfasts...they are something else - the moodiest unhelpful staff we've ever seen. Breakfast runs until 10.30 so if you do down for a late, relaxed breakfast at 10.20 (not unreasonable) the staff start clearing all the food away bang on 10.30 - and don't even think about asking for things. They do not care and clearly enjoying mocking you in French. All in all - avoid this - stay further out to the north where its quieter.
We got the hotel through Secret Escapes and it wasn't too expensive, wasn't expecting the fabulous hotel we found, it was amazing and we were upgraded to a lovely room at the back of the hotel. The staff were great, they couldn't do enough for us, and the morning breakfasts were good too, on the whole this was a great holiday with great people and a fabulous hotel, that is so cetral it was only a 10 minute walk to the sea, shps and the station so perfect location too! We will definitely go back
Me and my husband stayed here from 26/10 - 31/10 and we couldn't have had a more enjoyable experience. The hotel is located only a 2 minute walk from the main shopping street and only 5 minutes from the sea front, all of the hotel staff we spoke to were very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was very nice and had a good selection, the only improvements with the hotel would be the bedrooms, we stayed in 209 which while very nice and suited us perfectly I did feel the white walls looked abit tired so they could do with some fresh paint, the bathroom however was lovely and it has one of the best showers I've had in a hotel room.
Overall very happy with our stay and we will be returning when we come again to nice in 2021 for my 30th :-)
