Few places in the world are as synonymous with glitz and glamor as the world-famous resort towns of the French Riviera. From sizzling-hot Saint-Tropez to the Belle Époque romance of Nice, France’s Côte d’Azur is an ideal spot for a luxurious getaway. See and be seen on the sun-soaked beaches, sample the exclusive night life, or try your luck with a few hands at the Monte Carlo – however you spend your time here, you’ll be sure to see how the Riviera has set the standard in luxury travel.
Located in Nice la Belle itself, the four-star Nice Riviera Hotel offers comfortable and stylish accommodations, amid turn-of-the-century palaces and grand villas that date back to the period of Italian rule. You’ll find a café, where you can enjoy a cozy drink by an open fire, along with an indoor swimming pool and a wellness center with a Finnish sauna, gym and Jacuzzi. To help acquaint you with your setting, there are views of the Promenade des Anglais, and a continental buffet breakfast is served each morning, with choices of fruit, pastries and cold cuts – the perfect way to gear up for the walk to the old town, flower market and beach, although none is more than a stone’s throw away.
Rooms at the Nice Riviera Hotel are spacious and simply decorated with bamboo parquet flooring and colorful, Mediterranean-style upholstery. Each bedroom has a LCD flat-screen TV.
NIce boasts a stunning old-world opulence, combined with a vibrant and diverse culture, a glamorous nightlife scene and some excellent restaurants, serving fabulous Mediterranean seafood. Just a short walk from the Nice Riviera Hotel is the seafront Promenade des Anglais, which leads to the castle ruins of Colline du Chateau, from where you can get some great views of the town and the sea. Nice also has its fair share of cultural attractions; the Musée Matisse and Musée Chagall are both well worth a look. Of course, if you’re feeling brave, Nice also boasts a huge sweep of beach, which more than makes up for its slight rockiness with the mild temperature of its Mediterranean waters.
How to Get There
After a fairly long search we decided to book this hotel, the reviews seemed ok and the price was reasonable.
The hotel room was ok, small but not cramped, the reception staff are very friendly and helpful, the location is brilliant, right in the middle of everything, but still away from from the noise and hustle and bustle.
The breakfast wasn’t great, we would probably have not included it if we had a choice again.
Overall, I would say it isn’t quite a 4* in my opinion, but overall our stay was pleasant, the staff and the location are definitely the best points.
The hotel was nice, the staff were very helpful, the location was pretty decent but if you want to go out to eat or party you have to Uber or take a taxi somewhere. It's not a 4 star hotel but it was definitely a 3.5.
Part of my family who lives in Paris, France -a daughter married to a French, handsome man and her two little girls, together with me- traveled to the French Riviera for a nice weekend hideaway during the second part of the month of July, 2018!
We needed a nice, cozy, family hotel environment, and chose the Riviera Hotel in Nice to spend our adventorous weekend.
We took two rooms, one for the couple, and the other for the girls and me.
They were close to each one, but not next to each one.
The rooms were spacious, I needed an extra bed, the bathroom was fine, it had a mediun size TV set for the girls to watch their animated programs, and the AC temperature was nice.
The room was clean and tidy. They let you enjoy their swimming pool with the children from 10:00 am til 4:00 pm, and provide you with nice, cozy robes and sleepers.
The children loved the candy they seem to have everywhere for them!
The personnel was kind and always responded positively to our requests.
I recommend this hotel for a good family adventure!
Location is great, close to the high street.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Not quiet as luxurious as it makes out.
Breakfast was basic but it was good for a clean place to rest and explore the city.
We stayed for a week at this hotel.Perfect location!!The concierge were super friendly, kind and attentive. The room was newly refurbished with a spacious bathroom and nicely laid out room overall with pleasant decor.Breakfast wasn't really our thing so we only had breakfast there once but it did the job.I would definitely return there again and recommend it.
