Few places in the world are as synonymous with glitz and glamor as the world-famous resort towns of the French Riviera. From sizzling-hot Saint-Tropez to the Belle Époque romance of Nice, France’s Côte d’Azur is an ideal spot for a luxurious getaway. See and be seen on the sun-soaked beaches, sample the exclusive night life, or try your luck with a few hands at the Monte Carlo – however you spend your time here, you’ll be sure to see how the Riviera has set the standard in luxury travel.
Located in Nice la Belle itself, the four-star Nice Riviera Hotel offers comfortable and stylish accommodations, amid turn-of-the-century palaces and grand villas that date back to the period of Italian rule. You’ll find a café, where you can enjoy a cozy drink by an open fire, along with an indoor swimming pool and a wellness center with a Finnish sauna, gym and Jacuzzi. To help acquaint you with your setting, there are views of the Promenade des Anglais, and a continental buffet breakfast is served each morning, with choices of fruit, pastries and cold cuts – the perfect way to gear up for the walk to the old town, flower market and beach, although none is more than a stone’s throw away.
Rooms at the Nice Riviera Hotel are spacious and simply decorated with bamboo parquet flooring and colorful, Mediterranean-style upholstery. Each bedroom has a LCD flat-screen TV.
NIce boasts a stunning old-world opulence, combined with a vibrant and diverse culture, a glamorous nightlife scene and some excellent restaurants, serving fabulous Mediterranean seafood. Just a short walk from the Nice Riviera Hotel is the seafront Promenade des Anglais, which leads to the castle ruins of Colline du Chateau, from where you can get some great views of the town and the sea. Nice also has its fair share of cultural attractions; the Musée Matisse and Musée Chagall are both well worth a look. Of course, if you’re feeling brave, Nice also boasts a huge sweep of beach, which more than makes up for its slight rockiness with the mild temperature of its Mediterranean waters.
How to Get There
The Nice Riviera is a great hotel, right in the city and close to all kinds of stores, minutes away from the old city, the flower market and the beach, making a car pretty much useless if you’re not planning to go anywhere else. The breakfast buffet has extended hours and is different than regular American breakfasts but makes it also much more exciting. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel has a spa with a sauna, hot tub and a pool. One funny feature is that the carpet in the halls mimick the beach as it shows hundreds of pebbles, the same way it looks at the beach. It is definitely worth a good look and is really a good value for your money.
Really enjoyed our visit to the Riviera Nice Hotel.
It's the staff that make this a wonderful experience, they couldn't be more kind and helpful.
Great facilities available including an indoor pool, jacuzzi and sauna.
The hotel is conveniently located within a short walking distance to the city centre and public transport.
The only disappointment (first world problem) is that only one device could connect to the hotel's internet at any given time. The connection was also not very reliable.
Hotel is ideally located next to the main shopping street and only a few minutes walk to the thriving old town in Nice. A perfect location to see everything that Nice has to offer. We had an executive room with balcony which was a good size, clean and modern.
This was the second time my wife and I visited Nice and the second time we stayed at The Nice Riveria Hotel. The hotel is centrally located within walking distance of many to the interesting things and places that Nice has to offer. It is close to shops and excellent restaurants where you can get high quality meals at very reasonable prices. Our room was of a high standard and was well maintained throughout our stay. We took the breakfast option and were well pleased and satisfied with what was on offer each morning. The staff overall were extremely helpful, polite, pleasant and prepared to go out of their way to ensure that our stay was enjoyable. Which it was. We would heartily recommend The Nice Riveria Hotel to anyone visiting Nice and when we return we will be staying there again. Enjoy all that this Hotel and Nice have to offer.
Clean, welcoming, fresh and modern decor, staff are friendly and cleaners reliable. The rooms are very spacious and have kettles with tea bags etc, mirrors, wardrobes, hairdryers and TVs as well as many plug sockets. Enjoyed using the small pool and jacuzzi area for no extra charge and the complimentary champagne on arrival. A good base close to shops and bars and Fountain du Soleil. Only complaint is breakfast is very poor - we did not expect an English breakfast or any cooked foods but the spread is very limited and does not taste great. The same every day including bread, ham, olives, pastries, but I’m personally not keen on any of it. However the coffee machines are very good and offer lots of options. I would recommend this hotel
