Few places in the world are as synonymous with glitz and glamor as the world-famous resort towns of the French Riviera. From sizzling-hot Saint-Tropez to the Belle Époque romance of Nice, France’s Côte d’Azur is an ideal spot for a luxurious getaway. See and be seen on the sun-soaked beaches, sample the exclusive night life, or try your luck with a few hands at the Monte Carlo – however you spend your time here, you’ll be sure to see how the Riviera has set the standard in luxury travel.
Located in Nice la Belle itself, the four-star Nice Riviera Hotel offers comfortable and stylish accommodations, amid turn-of-the-century palaces and grand villas that date back to the period of Italian rule. You’ll find a café, where you can enjoy a cozy drink by an open fire, along with an indoor swimming pool and a wellness center with a Finnish sauna, gym and Jacuzzi. To help acquaint you with your setting, there are views of the Promenade des Anglais, and a continental buffet breakfast is served each morning, with choices of fruit, pastries and cold cuts – the perfect way to gear up for the walk to the old town, flower market and beach, although none is more than a stone’s throw away.
Rooms at the Nice Riviera Hotel are spacious and simply decorated with bamboo parquet flooring and colorful, Mediterranean-style upholstery. Each bedroom has a LCD flat-screen TV.
NIce boasts a stunning old-world opulence, combined with a vibrant and diverse culture, a glamorous nightlife scene and some excellent restaurants, serving fabulous Mediterranean seafood. Just a short walk from the Nice Riviera Hotel is the seafront Promenade des Anglais, which leads to the castle ruins of Colline du Chateau, from where you can get some great views of the town and the sea. Nice also has its fair share of cultural attractions; the Musée Matisse and Musée Chagall are both well worth a look. Of course, if you’re feeling brave, Nice also boasts a huge sweep of beach, which more than makes up for its slight rockiness with the mild temperature of its Mediterranean waters.
How to Get There
Great location near the English promenade and place massena. The main shopping district is directly behind the hotel with food options, shopping and supermarkets nearby.
Breakfast was ok although limited in options compared to other hotels I have stayed at.
Check in was good, a reputable travel company screwed up our booking but the receptionist managed to work it out quite quickly so I was thankful as we arrived late due to our delayed flight.
While not uncomfortable - The hotel is a bit dated and probably need a slight decor update.
I feel like the price I paid was a bit high for the room I got. But in fairness it was my stupidity to book it for the Bastille weekend and for the weekend that France won the FIFA World Cup - which was a positive experience.
This is probably more of a 3 star hotel not sure what it’s branding itself as.
Stayed here during a 3 night stay and couldn't have been more satisfied. Very reasonably priced. The hotel is set just off the main street which links the Promenade to Nice Ville station, therefore perfectly located if you want to hop on the train to Monaco/Cannes as well as being perfectly located to explore Nice. Staff very attentive and always greeted you when entering and leaving the hotel on a daily basis. Would stay here again
I have traveled to many countries throughout Asia and Europe and stayed in over 200 hotels but this is one i must let visitors know about and avoid. Arriving at the hotel i was told that i had no booking, you can imagine my confusion when the booking was made for and paid 2 months prior. It was eventually found. The room was as small as i expected but was not ready for the sealant around the shower to drip all over the floor. Reception staff were not interested when i advised them that the wifi in my room did not work, the response was but reception is ok. For 3 days we had no download facility or social media access to our children back home. Breakfast ok. If your happy with hard bread less than average coffee and dirty looks if you want hot milk for your cereal then certainly stay here. My recommendation is to avoid this hotel but please go to Nice as its totally amazing.
Asked to have this power outlet fixed but didn’t happen in 3 days, the breakfast was 18 Euros for a very ordinary buffet. And please be very carefully walking around near the hotel someone tried to pickpocket me I stop him but got sprayed with mace not a good time.
We have stayed here several times. Excellent location - perfect for old town and modern town. Helpful, friendly and attentive staff. Nice rooms - comfortable and clean. A nice small swimming pool too. Wish the bar stayed open a bit later, is all.
