Few places in the world are as synonymous with glitz and glamor as the world-famous resort towns of the French Riviera. From sizzling-hot Saint-Tropez to the Belle Époque romance of Nice, France’s Côte d’Azur is an ideal spot for a luxurious getaway. See and be seen on the sun-soaked beaches, sample the exclusive night life, or try your luck with a few hands at the Monte Carlo – however you spend your time here, you’ll be sure to see how the Riviera has set the standard in luxury travel.
Located in Nice la Belle itself, the four-star Nice Riviera Hotel offers comfortable and stylish accommodations, amid turn-of-the-century palaces and grand villas that date back to the period of Italian rule. You’ll find a café, where you can enjoy a cozy drink by an open fire, along with an indoor swimming pool and a wellness center with a Finnish sauna, gym and Jacuzzi. To help acquaint you with your setting, there are views of the Promenade des Anglais, and a continental buffet breakfast is served each morning, with choices of fruit, pastries and cold cuts – the perfect way to gear up for the walk to the old town, flower market and beach, although none is more than a stone’s throw away.
Rooms at the Nice Riviera Hotel are spacious and simply decorated with bamboo parquet flooring and colorful, Mediterranean-style upholstery. Each bedroom has a LCD flat-screen TV.
NIce boasts a stunning old-world opulence, combined with a vibrant and diverse culture, a glamorous nightlife scene and some excellent restaurants, serving fabulous Mediterranean seafood. Just a short walk from the Nice Riviera Hotel is the seafront Promenade des Anglais, which leads to the castle ruins of Colline du Chateau, from where you can get some great views of the town and the sea. Nice also has its fair share of cultural attractions; the Musée Matisse and Musée Chagall are both well worth a look. Of course, if you’re feeling brave, Nice also boasts a huge sweep of beach, which more than makes up for its slight rockiness with the mild temperature of its Mediterranean waters.
How to Get There
Very much enjoyed staying at this hotel. Very clean and quiet. We stayed for 7 days. Very central for beach, shopping and sightseeing. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. No hot breakfast but we left every morning with full bellies from the cold buffet provided. All staff are very pleasant and ready to help you with anything.
Hi I can highly recommend this hotel it is central ideal location. Ten minutes walk to the beach in one direction and fifteen minutes walk to the train station the ot way there’s also a nice Cafe across the road. The hotel staff are extremely helpful and friendly we would recommend this hotel
Stayed in a Superior Triple Room. It was around 20 sq.m. - reasonably comfortably sized for 3 persons; would be ideal for 2. The bathroom was large & beautifully designed. The hotel is about a 4 minute walk from Galleries Lafayette & the lovely Place Massena. Another few minutes bring you to the gorgeous Promenade Des Anglais. The shopping paradise, Avenue Jean Medecin, is merely a minute away. Nice Station, from where we took the train to Cannes, Antibes & Monaco was just a kilometer away. We had a problem of water leaking from one of the walls in our room the day we arrived, & the duty manager immediately shifted us to another identical room on a higher floor. A cold buffet breakfast was served in a pleasant room adjoining the lobby. Could get slightly crowded during peak hours, but we never really had any problem getting a table.Though the housekeeping staff barely spoke any English, they did their jobs efficiently. There was a small indoor pool that we unfortunately didn't end up using. Overall, a VFM property.
Was concerned about the location of the Hotel but it turned out to be great: easy walk to the flower market and Vieux Nice, easy walk to the Promenade des Anglais and and easy walk to the Bus Stop for the #400 bus which goes to St. Paul de Vence, Also close to Galleries Lafayette and countless good restaurants. I don't much care for the style of the hotel but the beds were comfortable and we slept well. The breakfast room gets crowded but didn't seem to run out of food and is open for a relatively long time. Breads were not the freshest we've had in France. Several of the front desk people were friendly and helpful but one was rather distant. Appreciated that they could book a limo to the airport for a reasonable rate. Cafe Gustave, less than a half-block away was a wonderful place for dinner.
Stayed with friends for two nights this weekend. The hotel is very central. Near to shops tram and buses. We walked to the train station and got the train to Cannes one day.
We stayed over four different floors and certainly the rooms on the upper floors seemed the better. Only one of our party had a balcony
However all rooms are very clean. Great beds for a good nights sleep.
All the staff were happy to help from reception to staff at breakfast.
If staying in Nice again I would happily stay here again
Thank you Hotel Nice Riviera
