A two-night stay in September

This is a beautiful hotel in a great location with excellent food. The rooms are high quality, the pool is very pleasant, the gardens are well looked after and the restaurant is a huge asset to the hotel. Unfortunately our stay was almost ruined when the hotel sought to charge us, incorrectly, for two meals. Initially, I was accused of "refusing to pay the bill" but, to be fair, once the mistake was realised the reception manager handled the situation with great professionalism, offering us a free lunch as a way of saying sorry. Before that I had resolved not to return to Le Mas Candille. Thanks to her, it is now very likely that I will be back.

Great dinner at the restaurant of Le Mas Candille.

Twice a year we come from Canada to experience this fantastic place.
This time we had a fantastic dinner at the hotel's restaurant. My wife and I we are vegetarian and in France is not so easy to have a great dinner for us. This time we had one of the best dinner of our life. The Chef was definitely inspired and he created a lots of different dishes, taste and presentation has been superb. We highly recommend this experience.

A bit like a posh ‘Fawlty Towers’!

Not sure if it was because it was nearing end of season in the region but it all felt very dead and a feeling of packing up. The staff were random. Some excellent, some poor. The only real luxury touchpoints were the La Candille restaurant and the Spa Treatments. It was quite tired and lacked any vibe of any sort. Rooms were a bit tired, there was no atmosphere and it definitely did not feel like a ‘Small Luxury Hotel’ for which it is categorised. Disappointing
