WOW! THANK YOU SO MUCH for a truly magical stay. Elegant, enchanting, special, these words are inadequate. The welcome - spectacular. But, do not expect glamorous rooms; the rooms are in need of an upgrade but they are spotlessly clean and the views from the window/s/balconies are breathtakingly beautiful. Insofar as the beds and pillows, they are really, really comfortable. You will sleep well in this tranquil space. Take the time to dine in the restaurant. Arrive pre-sunset. This is a memory you will carry for the rest of your life. The food (I chose the Pigeon which was cooked to perfection), food, wine and service is par excellence. Breakfast is also delicious with lots of fresh fruit and yummy French bread. I lunched on arrival on the terrace overlooking the swimming pool. My Caesar salad was fresh and crisp, perhaps a little too large and a smidgen too rich for my palate. A day later I enjoyed a visit to the spa; the masseuse was wonderfully competent and, afterwards, I felt like a new woman. Before my departure, I enjoyed a swim in the pool – crystal clear, great size, sensational view – and I marvelled at The Blue Lady (I am not going to explain The Blue Lady because Les Mas Candille is a MUST to visit) and then Matthew drove me up to the village; the village is gorgeous, I LOVED the Jean Sculpture. I count the days to a return visit. Jan Lindrum
Rather over priced given the rather sub-standard quality of the bathroom and bedroom. Given the high rating of the hotel we left feeling rather disappointed.
The position of the hotel was however quite exceptional. Nice place for a short one off visit.
We loved this hotel. The main building is a converted/extended farmhouse with marvellous views. The rooms are set within one or two purpose-built low-rise blocks. Our room was spacious, and beautifully designed and appointed. The gardens are exquisitely maintained, and a pleasure to stroll around. The staff are friendly, efficient, and nothing seems too much trouble for them. The continental-plus breakfast can be taken inside or out, with great views in either case. The centre of Mougins old town is a few minutes' walk. If, like us, you want to explore the area by public transport, the bus-stops are a 10 minute walk downhill into Val de Mougins. If you are too exhausted to walk back up the hill at the end of a long day, the hotel will promptly send a car for you. There are 2 outdoor pools and a spa. What more can you want?
Absolute class - never received such caring, attentive and charming service.
Beautiful property in a beautiful location with stunning views and delicious food.
A very special place we all hope to return to soon.
