Little Fun in the Sun

Hotel was very nice, great location, walking distance to the beach. The hotel has their own private beach area with Cabanas . Michael Fabian was super nice and very informative and had the Cabanas and chairs ready and provided beach towels.

Decent Kimpton in St. Pete Beach
Reviewed 3 days ago

Travelled to St. Pete Beach for a 50th birthday with 2 college roommates with teens. Arrived midweek and had the hotel to ourselves until Friday when the weekend crowds converged.

The front desk staff was excellent. Rodrique asked me if I was coming for a special occasion- I explained my college friends were all flying in from different cities for our combined 50th there in St.Pete Beach. ....a little while later he delivered a bottle of prosecco and chocolate covered strawberries - what a nice surprise! Daisha, Sumintra & Christine always had smile and good advice for us re: eats, shopping, etc. Loved the coffee and wine hr.

The rooms were extremely clean and beds were comfortable. We felt lucky that our neighbors were not loud ...agree with previous reviews- thin walls, loud doors can be an issue....especially on weekends. put a white noise app on your phone. We were in room 406b had a view of ocean and bay, & far enough away from elevators

The rooftop 360 = gorgeous spot for the sunset & bartenders up there were SUPER. Live music, good bar food and cocktails- nice touch

Pool - though small it was a lovely area with sun and shade. Weds and Thursday we had it to ourselves. There is a pool bar but not open until Fridays. Elvis ordered bait for our sons to fish off the dock. Suggestion: if we could get the kayaks earlier than 10:00 am or after 5:00 pm to avoid the incredible Florida July heat. Took the bikes to Cafe Soliel - BEST French bakery a few blocks away.
One downer: Elvis told us we could order drinks from the restaurant upstairs (which was empty on Thurs. at 4:00). The bartender was not too happy, took the order left the drinks upstairs for at least 45 min and gave us a “not my job” attitude when we questioned her what happened to our order?

Beach access- it’s a 5/10minute walk, thru a small beach bar....to a gorgeous beach. Michael, head of the beach chair set ups was super. If My kids were under 12, I would find this beach access more problematic and a deal breaker but it was no biggie for us.

The choices for high end hotels in the area are slim to none...Id stay here again but leave on a Friday to avoid the weekend warriors 🤗

Horrible Customer Service!
Reviewed 6 days ago

Don’t expect an ounce of customer service or a call back after a week of trying to get in touch with the GM. Left several messages and emails. Never heard back, nothing, zero, zip. This is uncharacteristic of a Kimpton, which prompted me to write this review.

amazing time there-they really strive to personalize your stay and made it the best it could be. Have dinner there it was yummy and the pool bar was amazing. went up to rooftop one night and the drinks were just as good up there! kudos to mikey at pool bar, and the front desk (christine and daisha) for making the stay memorable!

Required valet damaged car!
Reviewed 3 weeks ago

The valet is required. We parked to go to the rooftop bar after the valet driver was super rude. On the way out he was over the top nice. We found it was odd but went on our way. The next day we discovered a huge scratch and dent on the front bumper. We are positive it wasn't there when we arrived and only parked at home in a way nothing could have done that kind of damage. It is impossible that it happened anywhere else. The hotel manager just passed it off to security who passed it off to insurance. Ultimately, because we didn't file complaint before driving off property they won't do anything. They lied and told their own insurance company they didn't see my car at all on security tapes, even though I still had the valet ticket number. The insurance company told us "they have no reason not to admit fault if it happened there". The staff is mediocre at best and will lie about these incidents. They just passed us off knowing they were not going to take responsibility. If you go here, DON'T TAKE YOUR OWN VEHICLE!!!
