How to Get There
We stayed in a three room condo, 4 girls, and was really nice, and priced very well also, two days of golf to include the beach course, what a beautiful course, and very woman friendly, for sure we want to go back.
Considering the amount of money spent to stay here, you’d think we’d get the best of the best. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Upon entering the hallway that led to the “suites”, you were hit in the face with the strong smell of a dumpster. The smell was nauseating and remained during the entire 4 day stay. The carpet outside of the room where the garage was being stored was stained and disgusting contributing to the garbage smells. The one bedroom “suite” was very outdated. The TV in front of the bed was very small. After a long day in St. Augustine, arriving around 11:30pm we enter the room only to find a huge roach in the separate seating area and another roach in the bathroom. We were able to kill one but not find the other. I went downstairs to ask for someone to spray and make sure we had no more pest issues but was told that everyone had left for the day and we’d have to ask again in the morning. I didn’t sleep that night. In the morning I asked again and someone came to spray. The fan in the room was loud and obnoxious. As I was leaving and googling where I could submit a complaint to the actual hotel I found that they had an offer to book 3 nights or more and get the third night free. I called to see if they’d honor it and I was told no, since my reservation had already begun. Considering the dissatisfaction in my stay you’d think they’d at least honor such a request. Needless to say, I will never stay in this hotel again.
Stayed here three times over the past ten years. Each time has been great. Stayed in the main tower in a one bedroom suite this time. Very quiet. Bed was very comfortable. Room service was excellent. Resort has everything you could want and not have to leave. If you go off the resort turn left on to highway 1A and go one mile to the Seafood Shack. Great food. Resort restaurants are really good as well. Staff is very helpful and the ocean is right there. Watch out for the waves.
