How to Get There
The hotel and location were fine but didn’t receive daily maid service. When we asked for service once nothing happened, then asked for clean towels and nothing happened so finally had to go pick up towels ourselves. When we tried to complain no one was interested. Could have been dealt with quickly and easily
Stayed here overnight as a family of 4, the hotel is in need of an overhaul. The only option to park your car is valet service for $30 overnight.
Our room had a drained hot tub on the veranda which had the view of a stone wall, not somewhere you would sit. There were squashed insects on the curtains and the walls are paper thin I could hear the people next door who had a squeaky bed.
When I asked for more pillows I was given 2, even although if asked for an extra one for each of us housekeeping said there were no more in the hotel. The air conditioning was noisy and again reported to reception but the maintenance person didn’t show.
The restaurant was over priced and breakfast was poor, very little choice when you travel with children. Unfortunately not somewhere I would stay again.
Lack of attention to detail. Family of four, two towels in the bathroom. Room service, did not take old coffee packs and provide new ones. Second day room service left us four towels, no wash clothes or floor bathroom rug. The elevator in the back did not work, neither did the fountains. I had to emphatically ask a worker, finally she said the elevator was not working. They asked for my wifes opinion, since it was her that waited an hour and a half for check in. Check in was at 4, they could not check us in until around 5:30. So my wife gave her critique. They told her 50.00 on the house at any of the bars or restaurant, one restaurant. The website says two restaurants, front desk told me one. So they told my wife 50.00 comp. Check out did not acknowledge the comp, they took my wifes phone for proof of conversation. Finally they fixed it. That was Friday November 1-3, today is the 5th and we just got a charge on our card for the money they said would comp. So now my wife has to spend hours probably going back and forth for 60.36. Its about principal now. Very Wholeheartedly dissapointed in what i just witnessed with Mayfair hotel in coconut grove. I think the place is done. The stars dont go there no more, a bartendar told me.
