Downtown waterfront escape with three restaurants, striking artworks and a rooftop pool overlooking Biscayne Bay

The Lowdown

This Downtown Miami hotel makes quite the first impression, thanks to a striking 18-foot Spindle sculpture by Henry Moore that takes center stage in the lobby. The guestrooms feature minibars, flat-screen TVs and marble bathrooms stocked with Agraria products. Start your stay with a massage at MySpa or an afternoon sunbathing by the rooftop pool, cocktail in hand courtesy of the Bluewater restaurant, which serves casual fare like pizzas and salads. For fancier fare, head to chef Richard Sandoval’s pan-Latin restaurant Toro Toro (note to weekend visitors: there’s a “Bottomless Brunch” on Sundays). Breakfast is served either à la carte or buffet-style at Olé.

In the Area

The concierge recommends renting a convertible from the hotel’s on-site car rental service, then driving down Old Cutler Road to Matheson Hammock Park and the beach. For lunch head to Finnegan’s, on the river, and order the mahi sandwich and a mojito. Spend the afternoon exploring Little Havana, including Maximo Gomez Park, known for its groups of domino players, and have a cup of Cuban coffee at Versailles Restaurant on 36th Avenue. In the evening put on your dancing shoes and head to Hoy Como Ayer, a local hangout for Cuban music fans.

Incredible stay!

As a business professional we often use a variety of hotels, I have To say the accommodations are amazing and let me tell you why: rooms are large and extremely well lit, automatic sheets and curtains, large desk and awesome chair to sit own and conduct business, WIFI extremely fast and connections is easy, the CA King, sheets and four options of pillows were amazing! To get a good night sleep on your first night when traveling from the West Coast is much appreciated and welcomed.

The restroom is large with a separate shower and rub, double headed showers with awesome pressure is awesome, functional vanity with plenary of light is perfect.

Full closet with tons of hanger simplifies the process was of hanging your clothes, full ironing board and clean iron.

Amenities was perfect.

While the hotel functioned well the service was personal and made my stay more enjoyable!

Thank you very for the maid who cleaned my room daily, restaurant and lounge servers who provided my service and most for an excellent stay!

Heart of Miami Resort

Great resort - special service for a VIP guest - nice menu - nice bar - nice lobby - near a ton of restaurants - plenty of free parking - pool a little cool but nice hot tub. Strongly recommended - New Year’s Eve was backed yo the bleachers.
