Right in the heart of Miami’s bustling business district, the Conrad Miami perches directly on Biscayne Bay. Local produce and sustainably sourced fish lend a fresh flavor to the global eats at minimalist-chic Atrio, and floor-to-ceiling views compete for attention with the creative cocktails and small plates at the 25th-floor bar. On-site personal training, rooftop pool swimming and sky-high, flood-lit tennis matches make staying in shape irresistible, even on vacation. Techno-savvy rooms include bedside remotes to control everything from the lighting to the temperature. The muted palette of cream, chocolate and sea-blue keep the focus on the dramatic city and bay views.
In the Area
Miami’s trendy downtown Brickell neighborhood has quite a few waterside diversions. Grab speakeasy-style cocktails at Blackbird Ordinary or party at Brit pub–inspired haute hotspot The Hoxton. Catch the Miami Heat playing in their own kingdom, AmericanAirlines Arena, just a few minutes away. Or get your dose of culture at the nearby Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts. The party scene and Art Deco architecture of South Beach are just a 15-minute drive away.
How to Get There
We stayed at the Conrad a couple of weeks ago and Kenneth was great at check in gave us great advice on where to go and what to do, super friendly and out going. We had a great time. Also, Cesar from valet was great as well as we returned he offered to clean out our cup holders and any excess trash we had in the car. I thought it was a great touch. One thing I would suggest is to ensure that the hosts are informing people that breakfast is not free but you get a $15 credit per person if you are gold or above. Over a great stay would definitely come back!
This was my first visit to Miami and the Conrad was a very comfortable hotel on Bricknell Road. I suspect I was lucky enough to be upgraded as I was allocated a very large corner suit on the 20th floor with panoramic views over this part of Miami. A lot of blinds and curtains to close. The bathroom is spacious with separate bath and shower. There is a large sitting room with a desk, sofa and occasional chairs. There is a mini bar, large snack selection and coffee machine and, if you want, Icelandic water at $10 a bottle!
The hotel is undergoing some renovation and where the lobby is normally on the 25th floor it is currently located on the ground floor. After check in you have to get the lift to the 25th floor and then walk to another set of elevators which take you down to the floor on which your room is located.
There is a bar and restaurant on the 25th floor with a huge atrium - overlooked by the corridors, rooms and balconies on the floors above - and doors leading onto a narrow balcony with views over the surrounding area and the hotel’s tennis court and outdoor pool located above the adjoining car park and accessed by exiting the hotel and crossing to the parking garage building.
We had breakfast and lunch in the hotel restaurant.
There is no breakfast buffet and you order from a menu which had a good selection and variety of breakfast meal options. I went for the avocado and poached egg on raisin bread with guacamole spread.
For lunch I ordered the burger in brioche bun which was fine. Service was fine.
Great service from from front desk to the restaurant & bar on the 27th floor. We had an awesome suite with a peek water view. Restaurant and drinks were limited to the facility on the 25th floor. Pool area is nice but, surrounded by condo towers. Room was in excellent condition and well equipped.
I liked this hotel but the pictures do look better online than in real life. We were given a nice corner room which was great. Staff were great but the rooms just feel a little dated as does the area around the pool. Wouldn’t stay here again.
Only stayed one night prior to a cruise. Was hugely thankful to be upgraded to a suite after a really long journey. Until 3am when we were woken up by our neighbours being very friendly with one another!! Not the hotels fault but those walls must be paper thin! Room was huge with large bathroom, separate lounge area and kitchen. Can see it's probably ready for a refurb but it suited us for the one night and everything was spotlessly clean so no complaints here. Room service was hot, quick and really tasty. Cocktails were great with good service. Front desk recommend a place across the street but it was not yet open for breakfast unfortunately when we went so we ended up back in the hotel. I think we arrived at the wrong time as there were a lot of people who wanted seating at the same time so service was a little slow. The server did apologise for our wait and the food was really tasty. Very handy for the cruise terminal and great views. I'd be more than happy to stay here again.
