We just left the beach at Longboat Key club and had a very pleasant time on the beach our beach attendants Josh and Thomas were amazing they helped us to our spot and had a wonderful conversation walking there and then put up our umbrella and got our seats ready for us contacted our server and sent April over which was just as amazing she was very gracious and got our orders quick. This is exactly why we keep coming back here to the beach we always are treated.so good !
My husband and I wanted to do a spa vacation for a change of pace and selected the Resort at Longboat Key Club. We are very pleased with the outcome of booking 5 treatments (one for each day, for each one of us) during our stay. From special ritual treatments to deep tissue massages and facials we very appreciative of the masseuses' abilities and use of good products. The highlights were the special ritual treatments, the Longevity and the Tranquility. Both were 110 minutes of bliss!! We were fortunate to have Casey and Karla performing these treatments. My skin has never been smoother and we both left the spa feeling revitalized.
We love the location of the Resort at Longboat Key Club with its multitude of beautiful golf courses, a private white sand beach, with comfortable lounge chairs and umbrellas for much needed shade; as well as a pool with jacuzzi. All the staff were extremely friendly and pleasure to be around.
We had a junior suite overlooking the lagoon in building #6 that was spacious, well maintained and well appointed.Housekeeping was excellent.
Being on a key, there was a great sense of community with a gated entrance. It is also in close proximity to the aquarium and an abundance of excellent restaurants at St. Armand's Circle.
I stayed at the resort with a group of friends last week. The room, beach and pool were great. The customer service that was experienced during our stay was the worst I've experienced in all of my personal and business travels. I have never felt like I was "out of place" at any place I've traveled - and I experienced this exact feeling while I was at the Resort at Longboat Key Club. I believe that the employees at this resort could take a few lessons from Starbucks and have a few Diversity training sessions for ALL of their staff. There was also confusion with the deposit amount and confusion with the final billing.... Which is still unresolved. Overall, $2700 has been the cost of the room (for a 3 day stay). I will be traveling to Cabo next month and will be staying for 6 days with my family and the entire trip will cost $3100. Therefore, the cost to stay at Longboat Key Club is NOT worth the price - especially since the customer service is HORRIBLE!!! I responded to the survey via email and I'm still awaiting a response regarding the concerns I addressed.
