How to Get There
We stayed at the Omni for the GA/FLA game, enjoyed it so much, we came back for Ron White (the comedian). Two visits in two weeks. Very pretty, clean, excellent food, exactly what you'd expect from a high end resort hotel. But, the staff? The staff were absolutely amazing. Everyone we encountered made us feel like millionaires. (We're certainly on the other end of the spectrum.) What a team of stars. Thank you so much, Deborah, Joshua, Anthony, Jess, Lisette, and Jess at the restaurant. You made us feel like royalty. These people are what makes a business "5 Star". We will see you all again soon!
The lobby and restaurants are very pretty. However the rooms need to be updated especially the bathrooms! Tub was dingy, husband took a shower and condensation was so bad the floor was really wet, we both slipped. Poor lighting in the room. The king bed was very low and the sheets were dingy.
I really enjoyed my stay here! Very clean and staff are really sweet! The guys for velvet parking are awesome!!!!!! Abdel was AWESOME he took great care of us the first night !!! The only thing they could work on is the fact I stayed the whole weekend and didn’t get my room cleaned once I had to call for clean towels and there was trash still left in my room! Also no refrigerator in the room so if we ate out we wasn’t apple to bring food back because there was no Microwave or refrigerator! Other then that the stay was good I can see my self coming back!!
100% clean room but bathroom fixes on tiles exposed. I needed the fridge to place my home medicine/drinks and it was locked. I suggest empty the fridge for patron usage. If you need alcohol go downstairs or order room service. Please don't spray too much perfume at entrance. It was strong. I loved the complimentary cookies etc. at lobby. Happy for free shuttle, but disappointed not available on weekends. But I had a nice walk to the convention center (reason for stay), great day for it. Parking, was great. I wanted to watch my favorite television network EWTN, but not available. Also how often do you flip the mattresses? It needed it.
The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were all very friendly. The buffet breakfast was excellent, with an omelet station on two of the three mornings we were there, and we had a good dinner in the restaurant.
The hotel could have got 5 stars, but for the following issues.
- Unfortunately it doesn't have a pool (damaged during a hurricane last year with no plans to repair it) which would have been welcome with temperatures in the 90s.
-If you don't have a car your dinner options within walking distance are extremely limited.
-It never occurred to us to put a Do Not Disturb sign on our door the afternoon we arrived (decided on a nap as we'd had a very early start to the day) and we were woken by housekeeping to ask if everything was OK. A nice thought, but unnecessary. The next day we got back after 3.30 in the afternoon and the room hadn't been done yet. And we had to ask for an iron.
