How to Get There
Hotel was clean with excellent service. They catered to our every need. We stayed here for my husband’s company Summer Fest. They helped find things for us, and always asked if we needed anything. The pool was amazing and the deck was incredible. We had an ocean view that had the most spectacular view of the ocean. Would definitely recommend.
Spent a quick one night at this hotel to visit nearby Archie Carr Refuge. Overall the experience was great. Quick check-in, rooms renovated, comfortable beds and lovely balcony overlooking ocean. Entire hotel very clean and fresh. Did not get to use pool but quick access to beach for lovely walk and shell collecting. What prompts me the most to write this post is outstanding customer service by all staff encountered from check-in through late night questions to breakfast. Highly recommend and would return. Special kudos to staff Willie, Joe, Austin, Mya and Sally.
I traveled to Melbourne for a wedding. The wedding planner negotiated with the hotel that it would have a shuttle running that night to and from the venue. I booked my room based on this agreement. Fifteen minutes after booking, I contacted the hotel to reserve a spot on the shuttle.
I was told that not only was the hotel no longer honoring the agreement on the shuttle, it was not going to let me cancel my reservation. Even though my reservation was fifteen minutes old and in reliance of their promise, they were uninterested in helping.
I'm sure that somewhere in their clickwrap contract, they've disclaimed all liability for the things their customer service says. So I can't say this this is legally fraud. But it's ethically and professionally fraud. Don't trust anything this hotel tells you or your wedding planner. Don't make any decisions based on what they say.
Room was fine, except for the plaster in the shower, which was falling off the ceiling.
The best part of the hotel is the oceanfront location. Rooms were updated recently and there was a nicely air conditioned fitness room. There must have been a couple of weddings going on-we drove in circles hoping for a parking spot with none to be found. No one out front to ask but we finally realized there was overflow parking across the street-it was night time so hard to figure out how to access it. Ended up parking across the highway and had to drag luggage up steep stairs (and back down) so we could walk across a pedestrian bridge. I have bad knees so that was no pleasure. Seems like wedding guests should have to use the overflow parking and paying guests should have a spot in the lot right next to the hotel. Room didn’t get made up on our first day there-we were out of the room most of the day and only came back to rest for a short while late in the day. I also drink a lot of coffee and none of the Keurig pods I had used were replaced when the room was serviced. Nice to be on the beach but not a stellar experience.
View cannot be beat! Sitting on a large deck over looking the Atlantic. Food is average, (Eggs Benny, Breakfast Panini) service was slow, but we expected that. Visited for the view and afternoons are nice for drinks and entertainment.
