How to Get There
Every staff member was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to make the stay a success, especially Storme. Would definitely stay there again. As a nitpick, it would be nice if the breakfast restaurant would open earlier than 7 am.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Westin! Myself and a friend went for a Mom's getaway weekend to the beach. This hotel is on the beach, it's clean and has great amenities. The staff was friendly and accommodating.
Pros: the beds were so comfortable, I actually got some sleep! There is a Starbucks onsite, that's where we had breakfast, better than a $12 omelette, amiright? The beach is steps away and there are chairs and umbrellas ($20 to rent an umbrella, worth if I you stay a while, which we did). There are beach towels available for use at the pool that you can take to the beach. The hotel restaurant, Lona, was really good, we ate there twice and had drinks there before an outing.
Cons: as per most hotels, Westin will charge you ridiculous amounts of $ for anything that's normally cheap in the real world. Bottle of water $6, breakfast of eggs $12, room service delivery $9 (not including the cost of food). Wifi that actually works, extra cost. We didn't park but we heard it was expensive.
With all that being said, I would still stay here because the cons are par for the course for all hotels. Westin is a great choice, they were competitively priced, just choose this hotel if you are searching the area.
We thoroughly enjoyed our trip from start to finish! Storm (Stormin’ the doorman) was the most incredible help! He took out luggage and extras to the room, and unpacked them so that we could enjoy the amenities right away! Storm also made our daughter feel like the most important part of every day. Even made an extra trip to cure the simple headache!
This hotel (and Storm) will provide everything possible to make your vacation flawless!
I checked in Saturday with Natalie at the front desk- who was the 1st of many amazing associates on a single property. Amazing beach view, extremely comfortable beds, great pool, wonderful on site restaurant and a full service Starbucks- this place is a travelers dream.
I have to compliment the Managers & GM, because they have an amazing staff of people who will make your trip unforgettable: Natalia & Courtney at the front desk, Jenny & Malina at the pool, Norman as your waiter for breakfast. Everyone be working there was friendly and helpful but the 5 I mentioned were Superstars! I highly recommend that if you are looking for a retreat on Ft Lauderdale Beach- you need not look any further than the Westin Resort on Ft Lauderdale Beach
We stay here at least 4 times a year and we love staying here. We did bump into some problems this time around but the staff was extremely helpful in trying to make it right. I am writing this review because it was the first time that we got a chance to dine at the restaurant Lona. We were there for brunch and breakfast the next day. Our waitress during brunch Skeeter was amazing. She was attentive and so helpful. We went for breakfast the following day and our waiter Nelson was beyond great. He was attentive, friendly and truly cared about making our experience a great one. The highlight of this trip was definitely the service we received from Skeeter and Nelson! They made up for the mishaps we bumped into.
