Long Weekend Getaway
Reviewed 6 hours ago

We stayed at The Sonesta Fort Lauderdale last year on our way to Key West and we loved it so much we came back this summer. We have been on a large vacay already this summer to the Virgin Islands and wanted to do another small beach trip before getting back to our teaching jobs. The Sonesta is exceptional. People are friendly, our room was upgraded and amenities can’t be beat! And the views are amazing from every room! Ocean views out of this world. We did not rent a car - Ubered to/from airport and walked everywhere else. Lots of places to eat within walking distance. Must eat at Primanti’s Italian Place on corner by hotel - breakfast and lunch and dinner! Pizza and breakfast is yummy and it’s reasonable. It’s a 2 min walk from hotel and is open 24 hours. Take the trip!

Amazing staff! Food at Steelpan was the some of the best I've ever had. The rooms and meeting space were all fantastic. Incredible views from every angle. Banquet staff was super attentive. Not a fan of having valet parking only.

Great Weekend Getaway Spot!

I Love staying at the Sonesta Fort Lauderdale (2nd time in the last 4 months). The location is great, the rooms are fantastic - all have amazing views of the beach (directly across the street). The staff is very friendly and Joe is an incredible bartender (awesome mojito and red sangria!). I’ll be back again in a few months.

The benchmark of customer service

This was my second visit to the hotel. The staff here was and is always nothing more than authentic and professional. I have traveled to hotels throughout the country and this property is one that I will return to again and again. I had the pleasure of meeting Joeja (Joe) during this visit and he really made the trip for me. He is truly the best-kept secret about the property. From the first meeting, he connects with every guest he meets and is the best ambassador the hotel could ever hope to have.

Favorite bartender!

Just watching a little Wimbledon at the hotel bar with my boys Roger, Joe, and Brad. Frosé in hand and toes near the sand.

We had a great time on our weekend getaway and Joe is by far one of the highlights. Immediately knew our names and made a point of introducing people to each other. Incredibly personable and on his game. He’s the best!
