We have been staying at Provident Doral 2 to 3 times per year for the past 3 years now and our love for this place and its staff is constantly renewed every time we stay there. Antonio Avendano, Director of Rooms and Jamie, the Bellman, along with the front desk staff are always accommodating, welcoming......just outstanding; we couldn't ask for better customer care. The facility is secure, the rooms are spacious and provide all of the amenities of home in class and comfort which is a huge plus but the staff really keep us returning again and again. You will enjoy your stay at Provident Doral at The Blue Miami.

I really liked my room at The Blue. It was equipped with a small kitchen that included a full size fridge, 2 burner cooktop, microwave and dishwasher. The rest of the room was spacious and nicely furnished. The bathroom was quite large. It had a double sink vanity, a jetted soaking tub and a separate shower with rain style shower head. The resort is made up of 15 buildings that are laid out in a long curved line alongside a golf course. The grounds are well maintained and the pool is beautiful. The staff at The Blue was friendly and helpful. Otis the bellman is knowledgeable about the area and offered great tips about restaurants and local sights. There is a complimentary shuttle that will take you from the lobby to your room any time of the day/night.

Needed New Housekeeping Manager and Team!

Floor plan is fantastic for family trip. Front end staff is friendly. We had a 3 bedroom villa and found it very spacious. The problem here is that Housekeeping does NOT exist. There is a huge back end of the house problem here.

This lot is huge with 15 buildings and parking only on the front of each of the buildings. The lot is "L" shaped and offers limited parking in front of each building. In fact, the handicap parking in front of our building was taken by someone without a handicap sticker or plate. The alarm was beeping for the 2 days we were here in the first floor entrance and no one came by to disarm it.

Our room was clean, but had no soap in two of the 4 bathrooms, and was short hand towels in the bathrooms. This was compensated by leaving extra floor bath towels in lieu of the hand towels, Note to housekeeping, you can't use a floor towel as a hand towel.

The tissue box was left empty and not replaced in the master bathroom. Also in the master bathroom, the toilet seat had sticker glue left on two different opposing areas. Well some rubbing alcohol might clean it, otherwise, replace the seat folks. In the main floor bathroom a corner area full of dead baby spiders. What no vacuum? In the kitchen, no dish soap was left for usage. So if you plan on using the kitchen, bring dish soap with you.

On the positive note, the beds are wonderful, and definitely slept on both nights. Extra pillows would have been nice, for two pillows on a king is not really enough. Also, regulate the upstairs air conditioner as soon as you arrive, for it will take 24 hours to get it cooled down. Seems like housekeeping doesn't know that either.

Had to call the engineers to come fix the television controller for it was not working. Annoying that you need two different controllers to operate the television power and changing of stations. Really folks, update to one unit for all.

On a side note, may I add, that our son and daughter-in-law had rented a king unit for 2 nights as well. Arrived at 1:am and was given a smelling room that the toilet still had visible remains from the previous guest. Then was moved to another room, in another building, only to find that this bed and bathroom were also never cleaned from the previous guests. Why would you mark a room ready for another guest, when housekeeping never entered the room to clean?

Ended up having to check out in the morning, was charged the full night and only offered a bottled water for compensation and inconvenience. Really a great disappointment on this and he actually spoke with the front end manager.

So here's my thought, why charge me $150 security per night, when the rooms are not being fully prepared for guest? Why charge me $10 parking a night when there are not sufficient parking spaces in front of each building and the property is enclosed and gated anyway? More importantly, why rent rooms that are not guest ready? Get a new housekeeping manager and team and do the job.

Our family spent a weekend at the The blue Spa and I recommend it. We were delight with the services from the coordinator (Elsa) she was very friendly and courteous. We also experienced a fabulous massage from Magaly
