Nice place, Terrible Stay
Reviewed 6 days ago

I'll start with the good. We stayed for four days for a wedding. The grounds were absolutely beautiful. The wedding went smoothly and the service was good. The food was excellent. The location is great, within walking distance to nice restaurants and shops.

The bad: The rooms were dirty, like they hadn't been cleaned at all. There was visible trash (glitter, popped balloons, strings, cat toys) on the floor. The tub was also dirty and the drain was clogged. The wifi didn't work in the room. We asked about it several times but no one ever came to check.

The staff was rude and unprofessional. When we checked in the man at the front desk was bad mouthing and insulting other guests right in front of us. Our room (a suite for four people) did not have enough coffee, no big deal, but we called the front desk three times and asked the front desk in person over two days and never got the coffee.

On Sunday morning I was awoken to a staff member screaming and cursing out another staff member while they were setting up for brunch. A man was yelling "You F***ing dumbass! I told you to get the mother F***ing silverware! etc.' Not how you want to wake up on a Sunday morning, and I can't believe they treat their staff this way.

I guess Sunday House would be nice for an event or dinner, but staying there was terrible. If you're having a wedding, tell your guests to stay elsewhere.

Been here before for brunch in prior years and it was excellent. The evening meal this year was disappointing. Duck was chewy, fish was bland. Service mediocre. Pricy valet parking. Will try one of the bistros on Atlantic Ave next time.

Location is great, hotel is ok

We were really excited to be staying within walking distance of Atlantic Ave and the many restaurants and bars of Delray Beach. The hotel gave us a good central location and the accommodations were nice enough. That said, the room was a little bit dated and lacking in bright lights and bathroom fixtures. The hotel is quirky and good for some, but probably not all types of vacationers.

Happy hour
Reviewed 4 weeks ago

The Sundy House is wonderful. Very pretty place with botanical gardens. There are table situated among the beautiful gardens. The Sundt House also has rooms/suites available.
We went to theHappy Hour. Drinks are 50% off from 5-7. They also have several bar bites which complement the Happy Hour. It was fairly the day we went. Happy Hour is not really advertised. Good drinks and good bites.

Amazing restaurant for great dinner
Reviewed 1 month ago

Went with best friends. They honored reservation. Valet parking. The gardens are terrific. Staff very friendly. Good menu and the food was GREAT. The atmosphere is fantastic. Food was really good. Nice size portions. Fresh fish meat and great specials. Must go on good weather night because you want to eat outside in the gazebos. Prices are not cheap but food and service is WORTH it. No one rushes you. Next time in town will definitely go back for dinner again.
Make a reservation before going there.
