How to Get There
Stayed for one night with my husband and my family were also booked too. There is parking at the hotel for a fee, the public can also pay to park due to beach front location! Excellent reception and room was spotless, great size with microwave and fridge. Room 1519 has a view of the harbour and beach. Disappointed with the pool, this was sea water and small! Area was crowded and flooring very slippy! Bar area was nice and there is a great view to watch the sun set! Very expensive for 1 night and the air con in our room was like an aeroplane but too hot to turn it off. Bed looked amazing but we both were disappointed that the mattress wasn’t the best and we had our worst sleep of the 2 week holiday! Breakfast was good although the area is small and expect to wait to be seated. Staff were polite and very good. Wouldn’t stay again due to lousy sleep and noisy air con but can’t fault location and service hence rating
This is an awesome place to spend some relaxing time. Having the beach just across the street it’s a plus. The customer services was great. They even let me check in before the scheduled time. I recommend Hyat Regency
Just incredible hotel. Our room was so spacious and had a kitchenette area, the balcony over looking the pool and the gulf made the trip. The pool Bar and the food at the pool bar was excellent. The staff, especially Joe B. at the front desk, did absolutely everything they could to make the stay exceptional. Highly recommend.
This resort is beautiful. The outside is a striking pink. The inside is sleek, so clean, and modern without being stark or cold. The rooms are beautiful. The staff is so professional and goes above and beyond to make guests comfortable and happy. We had to reschedule our vacation 3 times and each time they were accommodating. Only a one bed room was available in our price range by the time we could go, so they had a roll away cot put in for our kid before we arrived. For a roll away cot, it was pretty comfy. A little noisy maybe because it was plastic but still decent and a full twin size. When our kid requested a softer blanket and I needed extra pillows and towels and toiletries, all were immediately found and delivered. By the way their shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and body wash line is amazing. My hair has never felt so soft. My king size bed I think was not a true king and was on the hard side. The sheets were a little scratchy for my taste too, but the beauty of the room and balconies more than made up for that. In the corner room there were TWO balaconies. We got to see the ocean and the bay side which made our 600 square foot room feel huge. The bathtub was huge. It is really deep. Great for a soak. Shower was also great. Hotel provides extra towels outside by pool and ocean for free as long as you check them out and in each day so it was nice to have a clean beach towel each time we went. I wouldn’t bother to pack beach towels when staying here again. There is a full fridge and freezer, kitchen sink, microwave, burners, dishes, dishwasher, silver ware, coffee maker, pots, everything one needs in a kitchen except for a colander (we discovered after making pasta and having no way to drain noodles) and no oven. So if looking to save money, this is a great place to stay becaus it allows one to cook meals and snacks. We loved being able to keep our drinks cold and the ice maker in the freezer too.
We tried room service. It was good. The person who delivered to it 3 times was named Michelle and one of the nicest, friendliest, above and beyond service professionals ever. We ate in the restaurant once and it was excellent. Everything was fresh and up was to a high chef standard. Try the blue cobia, it is wonderful. We had a really great waiter but I would say as we reached the closing time of the restaurant even though we still had a coUrse to go, he became less visble and for the price of the restaurant it would have been nice if he had stayed consistently attentive. I know servers have side work generally before they can leave but if this is what was keeping him from refills and dessert service or whatever it was aggravating to us. We wanted to go too. The appetizers and most of dinner he was so attentive but towards the end of dinner and into dessert we barely saw him, which made us decide to get the desserts to go. The chefs were amicable in boxing them up for us and even put the sauces on the side. Another great compliment to this restaurant staff, they were willing to make a grilled cheese for my vegetarian daughter even though it isn’t on the menu and we appreciate that so so very much. The breakfasts are good. The Cesar Salad and Florida Salad really good. The hummus snack can’t be beat for a 6.95 hotel room service snack. The fresh fish is where they really shine. The chocolate gateau is delish and a triumph. The pear tart is disappointing as it isn’t really a tart at all but an entire pear plopped down into a cake. That dessert needs some editing. The fresh churros with chocolate chili sauce should be eaten daily!!! So heavenly!
The housekeeping staff does a wonderful job. They never once bothered us when we had the privacy sign out. Which is what one wants when on vacation and catching up on sleep. We called and requested housekeeping when we left for the beach and each afternoon and when we would return the room service was gleaming. They changed our sheets and towels everyday as we requested. Due to environmental concerns, one must request this. There was a small mishap, in that a maid some how left the garbage disposal on and when we came into our room it smelled like a burning motor but the front desk got the maintenance man, Robert in there in a flash to make sure everything was okay. Speaking of Robert, he also showed us out to adjust the thermostat in our room to our preference, and greeted us with incredible enthusiasm every time we ran into him in the hotel. I was surprised that in such a large resort I kept seeing the same friendly, hard and working employees over and over. Mike helped us with our bags on the way in and out and also in with our groceries and was kind enough to ask how I was feeling. He remembered that on another day I was was not feeling well.
The front desk always on their game too. They also provide daily free waters. There is champagne, water, or juice at check in as well. The lobby has 2 different fruit or herb infused ice water vats to fill ones water bottle as well. This hotel has so much attention to detail, and the details are what make a great vacation.
The beach is across the street from this property, but nothing blocks the view. So once you are out side the hotel one just has to cross the street to get to the beach. There is a convenance store/ hut on the way with towels, sunscreen, drinks, snacks, and beach toys like buckets and boogie boards for purchase. One can charge to the room there so no need for money in your beach bag. The service is happy there too. That is also where you can borrow hotel towels for the beach.
The actual beach is so so beautiful. I have been a lot of places in FL, but this beach is my favorite. The sand is not hot. I read scientifically why but I cannot remember. The important thing is that is soft and doesn’t burn your feet at all. The water was warm and most days the waves were pretty tame. You can rent beach chairs umbrellas or tents as well if you wish there.
I didn’t get a chance to try the spa, but on my next vacation I will. This is definitely a resort I want to go to return to because of its location, great service, and breath taking views. I have been home just a few days and I miss this hotel already. I would recommend this place highly. Look online for prices, generally the Hyatt’s own website had the best prices for our particular dates.
There are many restaurants and a huge surf shop within walking distance too. Pier 60 is an easy walk from this hotel which has lots of interesting artists, restaurants, and people watching. There is also a launch point for the all kinds of tourist boat rides at Pier 60. We did Captain Memo’s Pirate Cruise which was amazing if you have kids. The consierrege at the Hyatt even set up a free ride to the pier for the cruise for us with a service that works for just gratitity.
Oh I almost forgot, the pool!!! The pool is on the 8 th floor of the 17 story hotel. It is beautiful and overlooks down at the ocean. The pool is nice, lots of comfy lawn chairs and a good pool restaurant and bar. Just put your flag on your lawn chair up and have a pina colada delivered right to you while your kids swims in the pool and you watch the sun set over the ocean. What in life could be better?
Had a very nice time. Hotel was very clean & so was the hotel. Loved there is a store right next door in case you needed groceries. Not a lot in the location for kids so that took off a star rating. Needs more kid friendly attractions in the area.
