Another wonderful stay at a Ritz Carlton property
Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Took a trip over to the east coast of Florida for an over night stay. No problem with early check-in (11am) and although the hotel itself is an older property the décor was elegant and everything you would expect from a five star hotel. Would have enjoyed a ocean front view room but was just as happy with a partial ocean view and a spectacular view of the intercoastal and the city of Miami (14th floor). We had a room with a king size bed with pristine bedding. The room had a walk out balcony with table and chairs. The bathroom had a large free standing tub and large tiled shower with floor to ceiling window overlooking the intercoastal. I wondered how I was going to bathe in front of the huge window; but when the maid came in to turn down the bed she also pulled down a huge shade over the window which I did not see earlier. The bathroom huge mirror had a tv inside the glass. Toilet closet with bidet. There was also a fully stocked snack cabinet along with a mini refrigerator filled as well (On your honor)and a coffee maker. The front desk could not have been nicer whether we were arriving or departing. I was surprised to find that they did not have any gift shops like many of the other Ritz Carlton's I have stayed in. They have a tunnel system under the hotel that reminded me of Hover Dam's underground tunnels in Las Vegas. Pool area was nice as well with cabana's that had tv's so you would not miss your favorite shows and sports. In the evening we dined at their in-house restaurant and once again the waiter was very helpful and the food was wonderful. You could dine inside or out on the patio watching the boats sail by. Love to return and stay longer next time.

Awesome Front Desk Staff

You only get one chance to make a first impression and suncheene did an incredible job! Everytime we came back to the hotel she would welcome us with a beautiful warm smile as if we truly made her day.

Upscale Modern Paradise

Do you love walking into a newly renovated shiny wooden floor room, with a spectacular view from your bedroom, shower and bathtub? Well, if you do, and I don't see why you wouldn't, this destination hotel is for you! The windows are hurricane proof, the water view more spectacular, and the location, is epic! You honestly feel like you are worth millions of dollars when you stay here, even if you are not. Or are you? No one but you really knows, but the point is, keep them guessing, right darling?

I like to stay in upscale hotels because let's face it, if you feel good, you think good thoughts, and good thoughts lead to great health, and great health leads to good luck, and who doesn't want more good luck in their lives, right? I have stayed in numerous 5 star hotels and I dislike very much when I expect to be pampered like a Queen, or have a beautiful comfy bed, over looking at least a garden, and what I get, is a bed that overlooks a parking structure and the room is cold and doesn't have that "let me stay in my room all day and order room service" feeling to it! I appreciate that not all hotels can be newly renovated, but if they are from a 5 star brand, like The Ritz Carlton, they should look well kept, well decorated OR if they got a renovation, it should feel clean, modern and sleek at the same time. I mean, that's why you pay double or more for a luxury hotel! Anyway, this Ritz Carlton passed the bill with flying colors.

Seriously, this hotel made me feel like buying a Ritz Carlton Residence, that's how much I liked it. I even went online and bought the candle and fragrance mist collection, from the Ritz Carlton website. Oh! And did I mention they have an Exhale Spa, complete with pilates classes and yoga? Now that makes it a lot easier to eat a late night munchie meal from room service and munch on the fab mini bar treats!!

All in all once in awhile, a girl must spoil herself. And this is the perfect place to do it.
Happy travels!

The Sunday buffet and service are excellent!

Loved the service and quality plus variety of the Sunday brunch! The view of the ocean is magnificent. I would go eat brunch there every day of the week!!! The desserts were scrumptious and really made us sin unwantedly!
