Regular retreat

My wife and I love Water Color Inn. We park our car when we arrive and often don’t get back in it until we go home several days later. We can walk or ride our bikes just about anywhere. Plenty of activities and lots of good restaurants. I almost have nothing but good to say about the resort. Only a couple of minor criticisms. We love all of the foreign staff. They are friendly and seem to really enjoy being here. We have encountered a couple of them who spoke such little english, that we could not communicate. Not a big deal though. The biggest complaint we have are the beach chairs. Mediocre quality, not the best design, they are old, and cost a lot. $80 for they day. I wouldn’t mind paying $80 for top quality. As I said, only a couple of minor complaints. We will continue coming back quarterly, but will bring our own beach chairs. Also, read my separate review on Fish Out Of Water.

Second time there

Loved everything about Watercolor. We were there last year and liked it so much that we went back this year. Not only is it such a beautiful beach, but the inn is so nice and the accommodations are amazing. The staff is the friendliest hotel staff I have ever encountered.

Not the Ritz, But Priced Like It

Watercolor Inn would be a pleasant enough hotel...for half the cost. But it falls way short of what travelers expect at this price level.
Pros:
-Very pleasant staff
-Beachfront location
Cons:
-Sheets had holes
-Ice machine was broken
-Rooms showing wear
-Modest service requests took forever to fill

Wonderful getaway

I stayed here for the first time w my husband for our fifth anniversary. I also had been “trying” to get to the beach for the last year and half but got held up sadly with my dad having terminal cancer and passing away way to young. The beach was much needed!!! I also got my first “real camera” for Christmas and was excellent place to try it out.

We were greeted with outstanding service as soon as we arrived. One might think this should be expected at a resort at this price point. It should but I feel something often lost places these day. My first major in collage was tourism management so I find myself noticing things more than I would like sometimes! The staff here I feel all went above and beyond. This property is massive and a lot to see and do! With this being said the front desk staff went above and beyond making sure our questions were answered and providing recommendations. I found all staff friendly, helpful, and the employee all seemed to take pride in their work. House keeping also did a wonderful job.

Shiloh and Randy were the main staff we had contact with and obviously have strong work ethic and are excellent at what they do.
I appreciate the time they took helping us have a wonderful stay.

I loved everything from the adult pool, to the beach, and breakfast in our room. We stayed on the fourth floor ocean front and it was worth the view. We also did have dinner there at found the food outstanding. I especially loved the art work thru out the building. Was beautifully done and added something extra. They did a great job also with other added decorative touches unlike what you “normally see.” I would definitely return here!

Perfect location on 30A!

Our family of 4 just stayed at the Watercolor Inn for 3 nights. We have an 8 week old and 23 month old. The hotel was perfect for our stay on 30A! Although there are plenty of activities available in Watercolor, the location is fantastic if you want to experience Seaside center amenities--it's only a 5 minute walk. It was also great to have access to the brand new Camp Watercolor park. Our toddler had a good time in the kids area and the zero entry pool was awesome for her age. We stayed in a gulf view room on the 2nd floor. It was wonderful to see the water and hear the waves crashing from the balcony. Being able to reserve a beach chair/umbrella set in advance was a plus as well! This property truly goes above and beyond--check in was great, housekeeping was on point (our room was always tidied up well) and we really enjoyed the turn down service. Can't go wrong with cookies! We would gladly recommend this property to others and can't wait to plan our next trip! Special shout out to Randy at the front desk--he helped answer many of our questions during the stay and suggested we have a sunset dinner at Fish Out of Water. The dinner and view was incredible--a must while you are there! Randy also went out of his way to find down pillows for us since we forget ours at home. Randy, you really made a great impact on our stay!
