How to Get There
This was recently bought out from another hotel chain. We checked in during the afternoon, stating we would be there three nights. After the first night there, we got a call from "housekeeping" wondering why we hadn't checked out. We told her we were to be there three nights. She wanted to know if she should make up the room and that we probably would need to re-key our cards since housekeeping has us down as one night. We told her that it was fine to not make up the room but told her we wanted fresh towels. She told us that when we would get our new key, we could get fresh towels at that time. This didn't exactly sit real well with us. The room was sufficient enough, but old and dated looking. That said, the view from room 313 was amazing. One evening had us sitting by the fire pit enjoying chatting with other guests while we enjoyed our cigar. No smoking in other areas of the property--just fire pit. The other evening had us walking along the beach, and later that night had us in the hot tub. There are two outdoor unheated pools. But too chilly for swimming for us! Breakfast was next door. They rotated the meats (sausage patty, bacon), rotated eggs (different types but still powdered), waffles but no pancakes, had almond milk one of three mornings, fairly good coffee, juices, light and fit yogurt, etc. We had to ask for oranges on morning, but had plenty of apples. Breakfast was sufficient enough, but if you have dietary restrictions (gluten free, Keto, diabetic, etc.), it is rather limited. For a walk-in off-season rate, we got a great rate. Just don't expect a great rate during high seasons!
I felt disappointed in this stay. I'll list both pros and cons:
has washer and dryer
close convenient location to restaurants and shops
gated and safe grounds
nice gym and spa area
-no washcloths the 3 times we asked, so we had to go buy it
-bed was uncomfortable and as a mom who was hoping to nap, I couldn't sleep one night because it was uncomfortable
- the bed was cold because they used sheets and a very very thin blanket
- the light from the hallway is bright and right next to the window of the bedroom, so if you need dark to sleep it's very hard
- the heater or something was very loud
Stayed in beach unit A305. The unit is big, with a spiral staircase going to the second floor master bed and bath with a jacuzzi tub. Excellent use of tile half way up walls is easy to keep clean, and it is! Except for the fact you need to go off property to eat, and having traveled for 45 years, I would grade this 5 star. I am not a germafobic, but I have switched rooms at 5 star hotels for dust buildup.
This was our 1st trip to Pensacola Beach and we scheduled this place thru Southern Resorts. It was great & we loved every minute.
This place has everything you need. Gorgeous view and access to beach, a very large nice outdoor pool with a large hot tub. It also has a huge indoor pool with a large hot tub. Inside the main building there is a very nice size gym, indoor sauna, and you can schedule massage on-site in their very nice spa area. There is also underground parking for 1 car.
We stayed in 1 of the lower condos toward the beach side of the property and absolutely loved it. Very easy access to pool and beach. Loved this area as it seemed like a small beach home and not a large resort, which is how I feel staying in the tower would be. Lots of people here but it never seemed busy.
The condo was great. The only thing I would change, is it has a spiral stair case in living area up to the 2nd floor master. That gets old really fast, but you can't beat the master privacy, view or spacious bath suite with jacuzzi. Honestly the spiral staircase is a minor problem, unless anyone staying here has an issue with stairs.
The guest room in as the front of the condo and is also spacious and that room has access to the hall bath so also a perfect private setup.
The view is amazing, and when you do go out to the beach they have a great beach service dedicated to the condo and they'll setup chairs and umbrella. It was a great convenience.
I cannot say enough good things about staying here and am thankful friends of ours suggested this place.
We took advantage of everything the property had to offer, and I highly recommend the massage!
We stayed in one of their so called luxury condos. Yes beautiful view and spacious condo. But definitely paid out the @$$ for it!! 1906
They charge you for EVERY little thing!!! BeachBum claims that they have a super clean team that cleans the units. That’s where it all started. It was NOT super clean! Still sand in areas, stained Duvet covers, outside rugs and furniture stained, outside windows were not clean, doors that won’t open and shut freely, dryer that had towels left in it, underwear left from previous renters on the closet shelf, outside lights dirty, beach towels torn and stained, kitchen countertop mats smelled mildewy underneath them. Etc.
We overlooked all of that because we were so excited to be on our trip!
But after we left, BeachBum sent us a rude email saying they charged our card an extra $210 for extra cleaning (WITHOUT OUR AUTHORIZATION!!!) after they had already charged us a super high rate plus high cleaning fees of over $250!
Stephanie’s (manager) reasoning for the extra cleaning was for items we didn’t even do or otherwise would be normal things to clean to start with!
She wouldn’t give us our unauthorized charge back!
Plus, other things were out of line! Some Porch lights didn’t work, grill was old and knobs didn’t work properly, slider doors didn’t close smoothly, chandelier in main area was messed up. Only one light worked in it. Faucet in kitchen sink didnt work properly, microwave is old, TVs are old models, cable didn’t work in one of the rooms, blinds didn’t work right, the sweeper that’s supposed to sweep up sand barley sucks, sand in the washing machine won’t rinse out, ball catches on master closet doors stick. Outside Rug is all rolled up on the corners and is a trip hazard.
One would have thought the extra charge was very uncalled for!
We will never do business with this greedy, shady, rental business again!
