How to Get There

Locked up like Fort Knox

Too many gates and codes. It is ridiculous how you have an obstacle course to get to the beach. One code for the entrance to property, another to enter elevator, and another for gates to get out to beach. Sometimes you use a C and other times a # before or after the number to get in. Oh and to get back from beach you’ll need the key fob or you are locked out. You have to go to 3rd floor and walk through a garage and enter another elevator. This is not user friendly - it’s like they do not want you going to the beach or pool and make it as difficult as possible. Carrying all your stuff - towels, chair, ice chest, etc. having to navigate several doors, steps, 2 elevators, remember 3 different codes. Just when you get all the codes down they’ll change them on you. Yep - they change those codes every Monday. My recommendation is that I’d stay elsewhere. My whole party was frustrated - there were 10 of us.

nice nice nice

We stayed here for the first time late June. We loved everything about it. I especially loved the welcome gifts as we arrived. A large canvas beach tote, large beach towel, and a bottle of champagne. Although those things could not have cost much it was a nice touch. Security was amazing!!! I felt we were extra protected. Staff were so accommodating. Always smiling and eager to go the extra mile.

nice enough

This was recently bought out from another hotel chain. We checked in during the afternoon, stating we would be there three nights. After the first night there, we got a call from "housekeeping" wondering why we hadn't checked out. We told her we were to be there three nights. She wanted to know if she should make up the room and that we probably would need to re-key our cards since housekeeping has us down as one night. We told her that it was fine to not make up the room but told her we wanted fresh towels. She told us that when we would get our new key, we could get fresh towels at that time. This didn't exactly sit real well with us. The room was sufficient enough, but old and dated looking. That said, the view from room 313 was amazing. One evening had us sitting by the fire pit enjoying chatting with other guests while we enjoyed our cigar. No smoking in other areas of the property--just fire pit. The other evening had us walking along the beach, and later that night had us in the hot tub. There are two outdoor unheated pools. But too chilly for swimming for us! Breakfast was next door. They rotated the meats (sausage patty, bacon), rotated eggs (different types but still powdered), waffles but no pancakes, had almond milk one of three mornings, fairly good coffee, juices, light and fit yogurt, etc. We had to ask for oranges on morning, but had plenty of apples. Breakfast was sufficient enough, but if you have dietary restrictions (gluten free, Keto, diabetic, etc.), it is rather limited. For a walk-in off-season rate, we got a great rate. Just don't expect a great rate during high seasons!
