Dreadful service and Unsafe

The Henderson is a nice resort in a beautiful location. However the service is terrible. All of the staff, from the front desk to the restaurant waiters, to the poolside workers are low quality. They all seem to hate their job and are not happy to be there. This kind of attitude is unacceptable for a luxury resort.

*Incident: my 3 year old son opened a closet door in our loft and door fell on him. Somehow, the closet door fell off of its hinges and struck my son on its way to the floor. Surely, the cleaning staff noticed this door was broken when they prepared our room before we checked in. But they chose not to do anything about it. Like the rest of the staff, I imagine the maid had the “it’s not my problem” attitude. The result was that my son was injured. It could have been much worse as it was heavy door falling on a child. Thankfully, he is doing okay.

We mentioned this broken closet door incident to the front desk staff upon checkout. Not to our surprise, there was little concern from the staff. They only asked why we did not report the incident to them right when it happened. Since I am a medical doctor and my wife is a nurse, we felt that we could do more for our son than a hotel worker could. The hotel clerk took down my wife’s phone number and said they would call her to check in to see how our son was doing. Guess what: nobody called.

Under better management and an overhaul of the staff, this resort has the potential to be first class. But with the currently under trained staff and bad attitudes, I would not recommend this resort, and fear that there will be more incidents like the one that we experienced.

Beautiful Property

The is a 5 star resort with beautiful rooms and amenities...make sure you have dinner at Beach-walk when you stay. It is part of their sister property across the street and the food if wonderful! The resort itself has everything you need for a perfect relaxing vacation...love the adult pool.

Excellent resort

I came here with my family including 2 small kids. All of us had a great time. Staff was excellent. Hotel is very well kept. There’s a short walk to get to the beach, but it’s pleasant walk. I would definitely stay there again
