How to Get There
Friends recommended The Marker, so glad they did. It’s situated perfectly, entertainment on Duval a few short blocks, restaurants on the waterfront, fishing boats too.
From the moment our party of 10 arrived to celebrate hubby’s 60th B-day, we were greeted w/ smiles, curtesy from doormen, & champagne once inside this oasis.
The grounds & rooms are beautiful & clean.
You really don’t have to leave the grounds of the Marker, they have everything you need.
Our room overlooked the Adult pool which was nice and quiet.
Upon arrival to their room, My Sis & BIL had chocolate covered strawberries & cheese platter w/ beautiful card waiting for their 10th anniversary.
Nice Touch Marker.
The entire staff was great! Spent a lot of time by pool. DJ was nice touch.
TY Sasha, Luna, by the pools for cocktails, breakfast & lunch.
There should be 2 bar tenders, but Luna & staff did great.
TY, Joan, JB, Kitty, at front desk,& James on the grounds, & to everyone at The Marker for making our stay memorable one.
Marker Name tags would be great.
We loved The Marker so much, we booked for Oct Fantasy Fest.
Can’t wait. 😎
This is a great hotel. We have stayed there twice this year! The location across from the marina is so convenient we walked to the Fury Sunset Cruise, the Tortuga lV fishing boat and Duval Street. The rooms are clean and the nice and the staff is friendly and helpful. Highly Recommend!
Staying at the Marker was very special to us. When arriving for the second last stop on our tour around Florida we were asked if we had something to celebrate. I said that it was my girlfriends birthday the next day ( not being able to say what I intended to celebrate also that day ).
The supernice guy at the reception then upgraded us to a fabulos big room with a huge terrace overlooking the water and the garden with a pool and lots of extras. we were of course delighted.
The next morning I Went down to the breakfastrestaurant and even though they did not have roomservice, they helped me fix breakfast on our terrace and even picked flours for my girlfriend and i could give her breakfast in bed and om terrace.
At the end of the coffee and good stuff i did it. I got down on my knees and and asked my love if she would marry me. She said yes and it was a very touching moment and the best och Days for me. A special moment in special surroundings. I will never forget the Marker and we will come back for sure to relive the moment.
The hotel is supernice, a bit pricy for valet parking and maybe but to us a Place to remember and a of course toprating!!!
We just got back from a Thurs to Sunday trip. 4 women shared a room and it was just fine! We got there, were asked if we wanted to upgrade to pool view for $20 each extra and said no but got a pool view anyway so not sure if that is some kind of tactic to get extra money so heads up there.
We got down to the pool and it was so AWESOME! Pool bar is great, Luna the bartender is a doll and nothing against him but he has to be the slowest bartender I came across. There are too many customers to not have 2 bartenders or a bartender who hustles, One thing that's important to vacationers is to keep the drinks flowing! Next...happy hour by the pool. Omg, we were addicted to the guacamole and chips. Best Guac we've EVER had! The shrimp tacos were ok, the French Fry trio was amazing!
Booze was a little pricey...$13 for a vodka ice tea adds up when you're drinking all day but Lucy our server by the pool never disappoints. She is the Hostess with the Mostest! We absolutely adored her!
Location was beautiful, Marina steps outside your door and it's a hop away from Duvall. We are already planning our trip for next year.
BUYER BEWARE: Upon checkout you are charged $45/ Per Night "resort fee" which really Seems unfair. Like I'm sorry....you mean the $400/night we already paid didn't include the pool? We ate and drank there for 3 days straight....you had to hit us up again before we left? Not cool, those should be in the upfront costs. Don't do that when people leave.
The resort was beautiful and clean. We chose it for the location,we were able to walk to our favorite restraunts and enjoy the local entertainment. The resort has 3 small pools that we took advantage of all day. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Lee at the front desk. We will stay there again very soon!!
