How to Get There
This hotel is a gem! The pool is awesome with lots of outdoor space. Poolside bar with super bar tenders! It is not located on or near Duval Street so if that is more your scene, you might not dig it (they do have a shuttle though) The rooms are roomy and modern, good AC and quiet! Easy access to town. We loved it so much, we actually extended our stay.
The worst part about staying at The Gates was having to leave😥. We had an amazing time there! The rooms were perfect with a tropical resort vibe and the pool was great. The Blind Pig food truck’s food was awesome AND we have to give a great big shout out to Rum Row and the amazing bartenders, Brent, Jamie, Jesus and Valentina. They made our stay there so much fun that we had a hard time leaving to go into town! Definitely will give you guys a heads up next time so you can stock up big time on Miller Lites🤣🤣. Thanks for a great vacation!!
Looks like a motel from the outside, but was pleasantly surprised when I got in the room. They've revamped the look to add more of a hotel feel. There are chargers on the side of each bed. Bathroom fixtures were nice & modern as well. The pool area was Beautiful & Relaxing. The staff were very polite & super friendly. Parking was free too, which was a plus.
We were treated so nice. Upon arival they offer you a drink and help you with all your questions. Very friendly and informative staff. The pool was awesome. The rooms very clean and nice. There is a shuttle that will take you to the downtown area. We took advantage of this to go to mallory square and duvall street and hemingway house. We had a great stay and hopefully we will get back some day. Thanks for the great time. 😀
The hotel was clean as well as our room. Just wish it was a little closer to Duval St but the free shuttle was great. Nice pool and bar area and the food trucks had good food. Next time will stay longer to enjoy all the amenities.
