How to Get There
I stayed in this hotel during my Business Trip for 2 nights. It was good experience, the Hotel Manager and Staff welcome me very well and warmly. Room service was very quick and professional. I took standard Room, it was well decorated but the size was small.
There was no enough elevators, My room was somewhere on third floor and realized that the elevator is not very near.
I took Garden View room and really enjoyed relaxing night view while sitting in near window.
The Hotel resultant named Aanabi serves very traditional food and traditional style, the ambience and decoration was very cultural.
We recently stayed in the Carriage House guest room at the Gardens Hotel. My first comment is that the pictures on the website do not do the room justice - the room is very large, and has a lovely bathroom, as well. You also have a full porch with two comfortable chairs that overlook the pool and the patio area, and it is also just above the full bar (very convenient!). The room has excellent A/C so although it was sticky outside in Key West, it was quite cool in our room. We also were treated to a lovely jazz concert on the patio the evening that we were there. (I believe the jazz Sundays are suspended during the very warm summer months, however) The breakfast was also outstanding - as another reviewer put it, they are selling themselves short calling it a continental breakfast - there is something to please everyone, I'm sure! The morning we were there, it included scrambled eggs with spinach (or hard boiled eggs); fruit, yogurt, granola, sausage, a selection of fruit juices, coffee, Nespresso, and excellent croissants, fruit tarts, and whole wheat bread and bagels from a local bakery. The pastries and baked goods were a highlight for us! Also, in addition to the full bar on the patio, they also have a self serve wine selection, as well (additional charge applies). Dave, who greeted us, is excellent at his job and was very welcoming and helpful. One of the best features of the hotel is the fact that it is so centrally located in Key West, yet quiet. You are one block from Duval Street, and completely central on the island - a few blocks from Front St., a few blocks from the Southernmost Pt., and also equidistant east and west on the island. It is a perfect spot; easy to walk anywhere from there, but still quiet and tranquil. Thanks for the lovely stay!
Wonderful vacation stay at this hotel! The room was very comfortable. The staff was friendly and professional. I loved the piano happy hour! I felt very refreshed staying here and enjoyed the convenient location of this hotel.
I have been to Key West quite a few times and have stayed in a different place each time. This place takes top prize. Meticulous attention to details. Location was great, far enough away from the crowds to be peaceful but close enough to walk everywhere. Every need taken care of - complimentary breakfast was prepared by their chef and quite a nice spread each morning. Wine bar is very unique - nice touch. Rooms are very neat, comfortable and well stocked with everything you will need including sunscreen!
We will be back for sure - highly recommended
If you are trying to figure out if this is a good hotel to stay in, don't hesitate. It was absolutely one of the most relaxing, quiet, and (as one person has said tranquil) hotel I've ever stayed in. I was in the Eyebrow cottage, which used to be The Gatekeepers house, and for once in my life was never disturbed by any other guests from my hotel. The grounds were beautifully maintained, the pool was of the perfect size, and the pet turtles were awesome. In all honesty there is not one thing that I would have changed from my stay at the Gardens Hotel in Key West. Oh, and the self-serve wine bar was very very dangerous, haha!
