How to Get There
Special shout out to Ariel for finding us a more acceptable room when our first room was in a loud (for us) spot! She worked hard to make that happen quickly, even with a sold out night. As for the rest, service is friendly and efficient, rooms are lovely and well appointed. Best part...beach with lounge chairs, umbrellas, bar service! Hard to find on Key West! And, special surprise is the little turtle sanctuary. I could watch them all day!! Central location near Mallory Square was so convenient. Great stay!
Our family of five (mom dad and 3 Girls ages 13, 9, and 7) stayed at Pier House for 3 days visiting the Florida keys. It was a beautiful hotel- with a private beach and nice swimming pool. We stayed in the building above the spa. Everyone was so nice. We were deciding between the Souhernmost resort and Pier House and I think we made the right decision. We were close to all the activities and Duval Street.
The location is convenient; however I was not impressed with the service this year. We stayed 6 nights and two of the days our room was never cleaned. I left a drawer of clothes and contacted the hotel the same day I left. I emailed, called and left messages. No one bothered to call me back for four days. I knew exactly which drawer the clothes were in, but somehow they were not found. It concerns me that the housekeeping staff cannot be trusted to turn in lost items. I am not comfortable staying at a hotel where staff members cannot be trusted and have master keys to guest rooms. I was very disappointed in the lack of response and lack of effort the Pier House took to investigate the issue. I have stayed her many years, but I don't think I will be back after this visit. We ate at the hotel restaurant one time. The service was so slow and the food cold, so we went elsewhere the rest of the week. The pool waiters were very cordial and attentive.
Will easily come back to the Pier House simply because of how friendly and helpful the staff were. Martina at the beach bar and Bek at the beach are just two of the many staff members that make staying here really great!
We stayed at the pier House for 5 nights in a junior spa suite. This was our third stay at PH and was our best yet! The room was clean and spacious and I am still raving about the mattress and pillows (what is the brand of the mattress as i need one?). We were a group of 4 couples and everyone was in a different type of room and everyone was pleased with all the offerings. Staff was pleasant from the gentleman who told me about the free coffee at the beach bar to Triple D (shuttle driver). Beaches are hard to come by in key west and although there is a-lot of seaweed at times it is much less than you would find at the public beach by the airport. The entertainment at the beach bar during the day was a great addition to the relaxing vibe. We recommend PH to anyone looking to go to Key West. The location can not be beat! If you go beat the mallory square crowd for the sunset and view it from the patio past One Duval and Beach Bar. Amazing!
