Duval Street and Mallory Square are where all the action starts on Key West, and this 100-room Ocean Key Resort & Spa, A Noble House Resort overlooks both of them — which means it’s also a prime location for sunset views from some rooms and from every table on Sunset Pier, the more casual, Caribbean inspired restaurant on property. The slightly more formal Hot Tin Roof also serves sunset views alongside the shrimp risotto and broiled snapper, while the Liquid Lounge Pool Bar focuses on burgers and mojitos. Guestrooms have lime green walls, sleigh beds with pillow-topped mattresses, whirlpool baths and private furnished balconies. When guests aren’t taking a dip in the pool, they may be found enjoying a Balinese-inspired treatment in SpaTerre or biking around the Key.
In the Area
Every evening is an excuse for a party in Mallory Square, the beating heart of Key West, where jugglers, street vendors, musicians and animal trainers make for a festive vibe. Fill the hours before sunset with an Old Town Trolley sightseeing tour, a round of golf at the Rees Jones-designed Key West Golf Club, or a guided kayak eco-tour.
How to Get There
The hotel was beautiful and our room was exquisite. The food from the bar was good and the bartenders were very nice and quick to serve us. It was a little expensive compared to other hotels in the area but I would recommend the hotel to others.
There’s no place like Home and Virginia Beach remains my Home beach and Ocean Key is where we stay. Ocean Key Resort has replaced carpet and tile with hard wood floors and upgraded the bath tub and shower. While it’s still small compared to other resorts, I realize it’s at the beach and just outside are numerous restaurants, shops and attractions. The smallness of the unit encourages me to get out. Service as always is good, especially an employee named Gary who brought me a shower curtain and dust pan. He exemplified the spirit of Ocean Key Resort — to be comfortable and have everything you need so you can truly enjoy your vacation. There’s no place like home!
Very friendly staff. The property and our room was very clean. Location was at end of Duval but still walking distance to everything. Would recommend highly. This hotel is also a great place to watch the sunset.
A beautiful hotel with very attentive staff who made my stay memorable! Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Keywest! The pool had gorgeous sunset views as well and we stayed at the pool later one night to watch this happening. AMAZING!
Outstanding setting, great people and very warm, genuine customer service. Best place in Key West to truly relax on the waterfront, yet enjoy the best of the downtown area. Food, accommodations, and people are all top-flight.
