Duval Street and Mallory Square are where all the action starts on Key West, and this 100-room Ocean Key Resort & Spa, A Noble House Resort overlooks both of them — which means it’s also a prime location for sunset views from some rooms and from every table on Sunset Pier, the more casual, Caribbean inspired restaurant on property. The slightly more formal Hot Tin Roof also serves sunset views alongside the shrimp risotto and broiled snapper, while the Liquid Lounge Pool Bar focuses on burgers and mojitos. Guestrooms have lime green walls, sleigh beds with pillow-topped mattresses, whirlpool baths and private furnished balconies. When guests aren’t taking a dip in the pool, they may be found enjoying a Balinese-inspired treatment in SpaTerre or biking around the Key.
In the Area
Every evening is an excuse for a party in Mallory Square, the beating heart of Key West, where jugglers, street vendors, musicians and animal trainers make for a festive vibe. Fill the hours before sunset with an Old Town Trolley sightseeing tour, a round of golf at the Rees Jones-designed Key West Golf Club, or a guided kayak eco-tour.

Service on the Resort is Outstanding
We had a wonderful stay here in an oceanfront boutique suite with full water view over the Sunset Pier. We requested a high floor and were put on the 4th floor (out of 5), which was appreciated. We loved how easy it was to walk to so many places that we wanted to go to in Key West.
We had a wonderfully romantic dinner at the Hot Tin Roof the first we night arrived, which was our anniversary. The staff was attentive and the food was very good. We also had breakfast on our balcony one morning, which was lovely, complete with a tablecloth and fresh flowers. We deliberately opted not to have the breakfast package for our stay though because there are so many other great restaurants in Key West at which to have breakfast.
The pool was perfect for us. We really loved the cabanas and were able to get them three out of the four days we went to the pool even though it was fairly crowded.
I was worried after having read about the noise from roosters, so we asked for the side away from Mallory Square and can report that we never heard them or any other noise at all overnight. We could see and hear the Sunset Pier, but the music there stopped considerately right at 10pm each night so was never a problem for us.
We only had three small disappointments: 1) I had read about a refreshing rum drink served upon arrival, but the lobby bar was closed when we arrived at 6pm (not that late, in my opinion). After inquiring about that, the staff member told me we could come back the next day, which we wouldn't have known about unless we asked, and it wasn't quite the same the next day. 2) I had read about frozen towels being offered at the pool on really hot days. We were there during some very hot and humid August days and would have appreciated it, but were never offered this. 3) I had also read that many guests received room upgrades, but sadly, we did not.
Still, overall, we were very pleased with our stay and would recommend this hotel without reservation.
I wasn’t impress with the front staff and their lack of abilities to treat new guest with kindness. Thank goodness for the concierge because and his infectious positivity, we would have had a horrible experience. The front staff kept questioning my friend on the confusion of credit cards. It was not a difficulty of using one credit card versus another. Pls contact me for further explanation of the experience.
