How to Get There
From arrival to departure, the staff was fantastic! We started at the bar where the bartender Cheryl couldn’t of made a better cocktail. She was very busy with constant questions from staff and guests at the bar but she still made everyone in the bar feel welcomed and as though we were VIP’s - the second night she had a few specialty cocktails for us to look over and we ordered some just because of how great she was and how much we loved her previous suggestions. My wife got one of the recipes and will be telling everyone back home about the awesome cocktail. We were sat at a table outside with a beautiful view and greeted by our server, Eric. He was so friendly and once again, greeted us as if we were the most important guests on the patio. He was attentive and listened, made sure our requests were not only met, but exceeded. The staff were all helping one another and watering all tables, making the experience all the more wonderful. Then the food!!!!! It was absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation, the chef executed everything to perfection. When we expressed this, Eric couldn’t of spoke higher and later Cheryl confirmed they had found the right chef for their needs. We hope the entire staff sticks around because we plan to visit again next year and we can’t wait to see them all again. Thank you for the wonderful experience, Springside Inn! We will tell everyone we know to visit for the experience of a lifetime.
Checked in for one night last week while touring the Finger Lakes wineries and museums. Our room (#23) was spacious and comfortable, it included a beautiful sitting room with tv, fireplace, sofa & chairs. From there you go down a hall to the nicely furnished bedroom that looks out over the back yard where weddings and other events are held. The queen sized poster bed was very comfortable, there are large dressers and closet for storage, and the jacuzzi in the bathroom made for the perfect ending to our day. In the morning a continental breakfast is included. We look forward to returning.
From the moment you see the sign announcing their beautiful location to the moment you're exiting to head back to Syracuse Airport, it is like Shangrala!!! The stunning location, Beautifully manicured grounds, amazing spring, beautiful gazebo, The warm greeting at the front desk, exquisite suites, delicious food, well poured drinks at the charming bar, free WiFi, with awesome room-service, and personalized customer-service beyond imagination...this, in my estimation, a true 5-star experience is nestled right next to the beautiful Owasco Lake ran by the owners and their team... I've now lost count of the number of stays but this was consistently perfect as every other stay.
We had our son’s wedding at the Springside Inn in August and it was fantastic. Noreen and Chris took care of everything, from the initial meeting all the way through the reception. They responded to every question and request in a timely fashion, and couldn’t have been more helpful.
The cocktail hour up at the grove with the new outdoor bar area the perfect way to kick things off, and the move down to the main room for the short ceremony was smoothly handled by Noreen and her terrific staff.
We chose to do a family style dinner and everything was perfect. The servers were attentive and made sure that everyone had plenty to eat. The chicken cordon bleu was the fan favorite, and the steak and baked scrod were excellent as well. The cheese soufflé is a must-have. The staff also took great care with our vegetarian and gluten-free guests.
At the end of the evening we had the street taco bar and everyone raved about it. It was a wonderful way to send everyone off.
We can’t speak highly enough about everyone at the Springside Inn. They were professional and courteous, and if we ever have another event in Auburn, it will be at the Springside Inn.
Booked room 21 for the weekend as we were attending a wedding. Check in was easy...And the stair climb was just one floor....btw, the Stairs creak like crazy with every step. You’ll never be surprised that someone is coming upstairs....you can always hear them coming. But it is a really nice room and appointed with antique furniture that was just beautiful. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. The bathroom is small but clean....the shower stall is very small. The AC isn’t great so if you like it really cool during the summer, forget about it. The continental breakfast is pretty minimal, but the fresh baked pastries were a nice touch. Despite a few small things I would recommend the Springside, except on the weekend if there is a wedding going on....it’s gonna be noisy. We had to complain several times to the wedding party to keep it down, but they were a bunch of drunks so you can imagine how that went. The staff had all gone home for the night around 10p, and the owner did not answer his phone when we tried to get him to intervene with the wedding party. So, unless it’s your wedding and your going to book the hotel for the occasion I would avoid the weekends or make sure there are no weddings planned for you date.
