How to Get There
From the moment you see the sign announcing their beautiful location to the moment you're exiting to head back to Syracuse Airport, it is like Shangrala!!! The stunning location, Beautifully manicured grounds, amazing spring, beautiful gazebo, The warm greeting at the front desk, exquisite suites, delicious food, well poured drinks at the charming bar, free WiFi, with awesome room-service, and personalized customer-service beyond imagination...this, in my estimation, a true 5-star experience is nestled right next to the beautiful Owasco Lake ran by the owners and their team... I've now lost count of the number of stays but this was consistently perfect as every other stay.
We had our son’s wedding at the Springside Inn in August and it was fantastic. Noreen and Chris took care of everything, from the initial meeting all the way through the reception. They responded to every question and request in a timely fashion, and couldn’t have been more helpful.
The cocktail hour up at the grove with the new outdoor bar area the perfect way to kick things off, and the move down to the main room for the short ceremony was smoothly handled by Noreen and her terrific staff.
We chose to do a family style dinner and everything was perfect. The servers were attentive and made sure that everyone had plenty to eat. The chicken cordon bleu was the fan favorite, and the steak and baked scrod were excellent as well. The cheese soufflé is a must-have. The staff also took great care with our vegetarian and gluten-free guests.
At the end of the evening we had the street taco bar and everyone raved about it. It was a wonderful way to send everyone off.
We can’t speak highly enough about everyone at the Springside Inn. They were professional and courteous, and if we ever have another event in Auburn, it will be at the Springside Inn.
Booked room 21 for the weekend as we were attending a wedding. Check in was easy...And the stair climb was just one floor....btw, the Stairs creak like crazy with every step. You’ll never be surprised that someone is coming upstairs....you can always hear them coming. But it is a really nice room and appointed with antique furniture that was just beautiful. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. The bathroom is small but clean....the shower stall is very small. The AC isn’t great so if you like it really cool during the summer, forget about it. The continental breakfast is pretty minimal, but the fresh baked pastries were a nice touch. Despite a few small things I would recommend the Springside, except on the weekend if there is a wedding going on....it’s gonna be noisy. We had to complain several times to the wedding party to keep it down, but they were a bunch of drunks so you can imagine how that went. The staff had all gone home for the night around 10p, and the owner did not answer his phone when we tried to get him to intervene with the wedding party. So, unless it’s your wedding and your going to book the hotel for the occasion I would avoid the weekends or make sure there are no weddings planned for you date.
This review is based on attending a Wedding and reception at this Inn.
We arrived for a Friday afternoon wedding at Springside Inn and from the minute we arrived we were greeted by the sight of a beautifully decorated gazebo with all the white chairs lined up on the front lawn, we knew that we were in for a special occasion.
The staff we all very helpful and very well organized, the ceremony was lovely and the reception was held in the largest hall and it too was beautifully decorated. The dinner staff were all very friendly and the food, buffet style, was nicely prepared a very well presented. I know for a fact that the bride and groom had a fantastic time and all the guests I spoke to the next day had nothing but good things to say.
The room was spacious and the bathroom was very large. Even though we were above the restaurant and are early to bed, there was no noise that filtered up to keep us awake. The grounds were enchanting with many corners to explore including a duck pond. We were not a fan of the continental breakfast but there are a few options in the surrounding area. The dinner was fine dining and worth every penny.
