How to Get There
The villa was great, everything we needed plus an upgrade to a two bed villa so we could put our suitcases in the spare room. Lots of space, super clean, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Dishwasher and washing machine with washing tablets supplied for both. Good cooker, toaster, kettle etc. Nice patio area outside with table and chairs and two lounger chairs. There is a charge for wi-fi though and quite expensive also for the security safe and pool towels too! The staff were helpful, small supermarket on site. We visited the Cafe Noa as the Bobby Brown? restaurant was being refurbished
We booked to stay here last minute whilst on holiday in Vilamoura.
There was some confusion on check in but after a couple of hours it got resolved. Reception area is lovely with a coffee shop and well equipped supermarket offering fresh pastries.
We initially checked into a standard 1 bed apartment, it was spotlessly clean, very well equipped and very private.
As this is their basic accommodation type we thought it was very good value.
After the confusion was resolved we upgraded to a 2 bed villa. I cannot compliment them enough.
They are super modern with a large bright and airy open plan lounge, dining room and kitchen.
There were 2 patio doors in this area of the villa. A large tv with many uk channels and a blue tooth radio. The terrace was equipped with a super table with 6 chairs and a parasol. There were 2 excellent quality sun beds too (could do with 1-2 more) The kitchen was marvellous and had everything to make it home from home. Coffee machine, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer etc.
All windows and doors had mesh fitted so if you wanted them open you didn’t need to worry mosquitoes were getting in. The air con was very efficient too. Upstairs was gorgeous. Large landing with a luggage stand. Large twin bedroom with air con and shutters and tv with a vast number of British channels and a clock with Bluetooth. There was a large shower room and the master bedroom with en suite was nothing short of fabulous.
Again air con, shutters, large tv with lots of channels, Bluetooth clock radio. The bed was enormous with superb quality linen. The en suite was very large with bath and shower over.
It had USB sockets in every room and the whole place was perfect.
The resort is large and impeccably kept grounds.
The swimming pool area again was glorious. The sun beds were good quality, a bar area and the pools were immaculate.
We didn’t get chance to use the indoor pool but it looked very nice. Probably not worth 12 euros each.
We usually stay in hotels and have stayed in budget and luxury. This resort opened our eyes to a new type of holiday and can’t wait to go back.
A car would have been useful but Uber were always local and allowed us to explore the area very cheaply.
Fantastic place to holiday.
Spent a week in a 1 bed room apartment. Recently upgraded and was in excellent condition. Very well appointed. Would I visit again? Yes.
A couple of niggles. Could not believe that Wi-Fi was a chargeable extra. Appalling. In today’s age it’s like charging extra for water!!! Also the safe us a chargeable extra. Not good.
Overall a really nice complex and villa.
Service in the resteraunt was poor. Forgot first course on one night. The on another brought out second before first was finished. 2 foul mouthed drunks on a third. Stopped using after that.
House keeping did not turn up on designated days during 2nd week.
Having said that the accommodation was of the usual high standard as we're the grounds
Just finished a one week stay at Vilar Do Golf. We stayed in a 2 storey, 2 bed Villa. On the plus side the area is very nice, the villas are kept to high standard and are well equipped.
However, on the day we were due to arrive we contacted Vilar do Golf and asked about the check-in time. We were told 4pm and that there was an early check-in charge of €20 if we wanted to check-in early.
When we were checking-in later that day we were informed that there was a daily charge of €10 per villa to use the indoor pool or a daily €12 charge which included the gym. We explained that this extra charge was not mentioned on the booking site and we were told "It didn't say it was free either". We were informed the outdoor pool was free but that isn't really an option with the weather in April.
The Wifi is €6 a day and its €2 a day to use the safe.
The washing machine was broken. It was replaced after a few hours of them testing it. We had to stay in the villa while this happened.
While we had a good stay at Vilar do Golf I was very disappointed with all of the extra charges especially for use of the indoor pool. They should be very clear about these charges at time of booking. It does not leave a very good impression.
