Having been stayed at your hotel Iberostar Selection Playa de Palma for 7 days from... I would like to share my own experience regarding the gained services.
I have mixed feeling concerning the hotel, since……..
During the check-in the staff informed us you need to wear long trousers during dinner time. Are you crazy? Who is the idiot who wears long trousers in 35OC? I would like to be informed whether this is a regulation or not, id yes, everybody needs to wear long trousers. By the way, Neckermann also didn’t inform us about this law policy l. The reception gave me three times bigger trousers than me, I wore it together with slippers like everybody else during the dinner.

I was informed very rudely regarding this policy by the staff which is ,to me, not acceptable in the hotel industry. In a holiday-type hotel, like yours the majority of the guests are on vacation, thus they do not really have formal clothes like long trousers. Should you indicate this on the website or via travel agencies in advance, the guests-to-be can accommodate themselves to this regulation. Without doing this it leads to several conflicts which is not beneficial for both the hotel and guests.

I encountered other problems regarding the in/outdoor pools and the jacuzzi. I am confused why the jacuzzi cannot be used by a thirteen-year-old daughter. We arrived as a family, so we deserve equal services.

What the hell is this concentration camp for this money? -Having stayed at a number of five star hotels so far, I have not seen such crazy regulations and poor service that was gained during our stay. For this amount of money the quality was too low and did not meet with our expectations. I am not Bill Gates but I have lot of friends colleagues around the world from Novosibirsk to Dubai and I will say don’t go there. I will help you build the nice business.

Last but not least, the promoted all inclusive package was not covered all the consumptions, such as the juices from the minibar and the international alcoholic drinks for which I needed to pay extra when checking-out. For a 6000EUR stay and a hotel chain like Iberostar this would not be acceptable.

Lovely hotel rooms with sea views and a very short walk to the beach

One of the Iberostar hotels in Playa de Palma. We enjoyed a lovely holiday in this hotel at the end of October, experiencing very good weather too!

An excellent welcome and easy check-in. Ideally, we would have preferred a higher floor to enjoy the seaviews, but they came at extra cost. That said, our 2nd floor room was very good - light, plenty of room, spotlessly clean, and that great sea view to wake up to each morning!!

We enjoyed the breakfast each morning. There was plenty of choice and the staff were very good. Everything to be expected of a 5 star hotel.

My wife thoroughly enjoyed a yoga session, taken by Natasha and the swimming pool area is great, with lots of comfy beds.

This was a short break and we chose to eat out rather than eat in the buffet or restaurant at the hotel. I am sure both are very good.

All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The location is excellent, ideal for walking to the beach or along the long promenade.

Lovely hotel, but room for improvement.....

First of all, I must warn people, planning to stay here in the future... the bath is lethal. There are no handles or a hand rail , to help you to get in, and out. It’s a large bath, and the base is like standing on ice, it’s so slippy. Once in, it’s almost possible to get out.... I slipped back in , twice, and hurt my back. Needless to say , I never used it again. Reception said they would send someone up, to the room and have a look at it, but no one ever did. The room was lovely, very spacious and view was stunning. ..... the reception staff were helpful, but quite dismissive and curt at times. ..... there was virtually no evening entertainment ,,,And what little there was, finished at 10pm. There is nowhere close to the hotel with entertainment, either, in fact there’s not a lot round the hotel at all. Of course there was a fabulous beach, with one or two cafes open during the day, but nothing at night.... food was good, a bit hit and miss at times.....
