How to Get There
Room and grounds were good. For the most part staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fine but dinner was disappointing on all but one night. Some of the photos from 2017 are not representative of the actual food on our trip (July 2019).
My husband booked this via a Secret Escapes Deal and we had a fabulous time as it was my birthday and a real treat. The pod was perfect and so nice and private. Everywhere was clean and tidy. The gardens were wonderful and a credit to the only lady gardener working there who does a splendid job, including looking after the pond and all the ducks, egrets etc that venture there. The breakfasts were always very good as well as the evening meals. Light entertainment only when we were there in March so if you want night life then not for you - we loved the peace and quiet of the place. The spa, pools, etc were very good and spotlessly clean too. All the staff were excellent being friendly and helpful always with a smile. We really could not fault this place and would certainly return on another occasion. A special thanks to the Receptionist (Bernardino??) who arranged champagne and a birthday cake and always made us laugh! We also visited Oasis Park which was a whole day out and easy to get there by catching a free bus opposite the accommodation. Lots to see there and we particularly enjoyed the bird show and it was good to see all the animals in an environment that would resemble their lives in the wild. Not cheap to go but we felt it was worth it as we were out all day - food and drink here was not overpriced so wouldn't bother taking anything.
We booked here with a Secret Escapes deal. We stayed for 4 nights and didn't want to leave - it was so bliss. The bus from the airport broke down which meant we were late arriving. We eventually arrived at 9.15pm and the gentleman on the desk made sure we could go down to dinner right away. We didn't expect to have all three courses but it was not a problem. We stayed in room 105 which was clean, comfortable and looked out onto the sea. Our booking included half board so we ate at the restaurant every night. The food was fantastic! I was a bit nervous because I'm a fussy eater but I really enjoyed all of the meals I ate. I've included some photos of the food on my review because I searched myself for photos before our stay and couldn't find many. We also had breakfast on the restaurant terrace every morning which was lovely. The pool area was clean and comfortable. We spent a lot of time around the pool reading. It was always so quiet and peaceful. Thanks again for a lovely stay!
