On Barcelona’s Paseo de Gracia, steps from the Gaudi masterpiece the Casa Batllo, the Hotel Eurostars BCN Design offers a funky alternative to the area’s more traditional five-star properties. Ideal for couples and individual travelers who love quirky, modern décor, the hotel offers a terrace and Jacuzzi, as well as a small restaurant.
In the Area
The Paseo de Gracia is the jewel of Barcelona’s upmarket avenues and is laden with architectural masterpieces by Gaudi, luxe international shops and immersive outdoor cafes. The hotel is also well situated for metro trips to sites like the Miro and Picasso museums.
How to Get There
This is the second time I stayed at this hotel and this was much better than the first stay. If you don’t want to get a dark room, get a room with a view facing Passeig de Gracia. I was worried that that facing the main street would be noisy, but it wasn’t at all (at least on the 6th floor); in fact it was very quiet. I also had a little balcony which was nice.
The room was stylist with wide full size mirrors. It also had many Hierbas de Ibiza toiletries (all paraben free) and a hair dryer.
The only downsides: surprisingly, the TV was small and a bit dated. In the bathroom, the shower door leaked (some of the glue had come off) so one of the days I had a water disaster.
Also, the bathroom is an extension of the room, so there is no much privacy. This is something to consider if you are sharing a room.
The staff were always very nice and attentive. I was even offered one of the staff member’s umbrella when it started raining and they run out of umbrellas. I really appreciated it.
We stayed in this hotel from 2nd to 5th April whilst away for a few days with family/friends. The hotel is in a great location and perfect for sightseeing with the hop on/off bus on the doorstep, Las Ramblas is just a 5 minute walk, shops and all main tourist attractions within walking distance. Upon checking in we did not receive a particulary friendly welcome and the overall service was rather mediocre. Family members were staying along the road at Grupotel Gran Via 678 and when we went along to meet them there, the staff were more welcoming at this 4* hotel than at our 5* which is not what you would expect. For the little time we spent in the room it wasn't too bad but I would not return to this hotel. The beds were also very uncomfortable and upon returning to the hotel one night after dinner we requested to order a drink at the bar and was advised it was closed. On the plus side they did have a table with some sweet jars which was foc!
First of all I want to say thank you to Barman/Servant Edgar and Kiril this two guys was really good at their work and pleasant.
Their one more colleague I don’t know his name but he was also good.
Also reception staff was ok.
Here all good things are finished.
The hotel could be maximum 2-3 stars!
Cleanliness seems to be in the bottom of the hotel itinerary.
The room is very small and very uncomfortable.
Humidity level is like in hamam(turkish sauna).
Because the ventilation system is completely out of order.
Everything os designed in a bad way.
Really small and unreachable sink.
Also windows isolation was bad, during the night it was cold and the wind blowing from closed windows.
Noise isolation is 1 out of 10 both from outside and inside of the hotel.
Location is okay, the street Gracia is full of top brands.
Really don't know what else to say... This is a five-star hotel that earned every one of those 5 Stars! The staff is super friendly the room is amazing the shower has water pressure the bed is huge and comfortable... They give you free drinks when you check in... and free gummy bears!!!
It's really nice having a hotel with a television that can turn to English! There's only so much Al Jazeera news that you can watch. The wife says that the hair dryer is absolutely amazing ... and wanted to make sure I made a point of that period and then...she just started talking while my microphone was hot..."great location located in the heart of Barcelona I don't know you could say boojee, I don't know how to write boojee, near all the nice stores and restaurants only a ten euro cab ride away from the casino..."
Is there anything else you would like to add???
LMAO!!! Best review we've ever done!
We had a romantic vacation of 3 nights in Barcelona in this hotel.
The hotel has a whatsapp customer service which was really helpful prior to our arrival. I've booked a romantic package to wait for us in the room for a bday, but unfortunately that did not wait for us.
I've asked the reception to take care of this the next day, but again, coming back in the evening, and nothing was there.
Next morning I just asked to cancel it.
The hotel location is superb! Walking distance to all attractions, and 1 min to the metro station.
The breakfast was rich and tasty, and the service was great.
The big minus is in the room facilities. The toilet is literally IN the room, (not in the bathroom!)with a glass door....you can see the pics from both in and out views...
Who would design such a hotel room!? That's a big minus!
If you're considering this hotel try to get a different room.
Other than that, the hotel was very nice and comfortable.
