How to Get There
This is a really nice hotel. It's right beside the Sant'Angelo vaporetto stop on the Grand Canal, so it's away from the extremely busy touristy streets while still being right in the centre of Venice, midway between the Rialto and San Marco. The lobby is a dream, looking out of the glass doors onto the water and the passing boats. Our room was on the first floor, above the street that leads from the vaporetto stop, so there was a bit of noise and trundling of suitcases at certain times but also a huge terrace, and the nights were very quiet, we didn't hear a thing. We arrived at 3pm and our room wasn't ready - they were terribly apologetic, and when we got back to the room our luggage was already there, and a bottle of Prosecco on ice waiting for us, which was lovely. Great breakfast buffet, and eggs / omelettes cooked freshly on demand. Would definitely stay here again.
Palazzo Barocci has been an absolute delight and was the best hotel I have stayed in Venice ever. The rooms are stylish, beautiful and clean, the hallways are nicely decorated with Murano glass and the lobby is just stunning. The breakfast can be had in the garden - which is absolutely fabulous - and delicious and fresh on top. Only downside was that our room was next to the street on floor level and you could hear people walking past with their suitcases and trolleys being dragged along on the very bumpy walkways of the ancient city. So sleeping was a bit challenging at times in this particular room.
Just a line to recommend this beautiful hotel to anyone visiting Venice, great location as right by the main orange boat stop.
Staff and accommodation faultless, would recommend room only as there are great places to have breakfast very close to hotel. Be worthy 5 stars.
