How to Get There
I spent a full week with my family in this hotel. We had great autumn weather on our first day, allowing us to do some sunbathing on the terrace overlooking the Merano valley. The rest of the week we had some fog and rain but with the autumn colours everywhere around us, we liked every type of weather. The location of the hotel is simply perfect. We enjoyed the space, the quietness, the great staff, the food, the atmosphere....... it was hard to leave but I am pretty sure I will return here. The nicest thing was we had access to the forest from the floor we were staying at. If I had time I could write a whole report about this hotel, but to sum it up: it was PERFECT.
To give you an idea of how high our expectations were, we booked our honeymoon for Miramonti several months before our visit. It took us a transatlantic flight, 4 trains, and a car arranged by the hotel to arrive, but it was so, so worth it. While the photos are certainly beautiful, the actual views and experience is stunning. I've never seen such a well-reviewed hotel, and I'm so happy to report it's very well deserved!
We stayed in one of the Design Lofts on the 4th floor, which was stylishly decorated and a perfect amount of space for our 5 day stay. While we planned to explore the area a bit, we ended up staying at the property the whole time, enjoying the spa, saunas, and pools, yoga class, nearby hiking trails, as well as the wonderful breakfast, afternoon tea, and meals at all three restaurants. The food was excellent, as was the service through the entire experience. The brand new onsen pool was a real treat in the cooler evenings, and it appears there are some more exciting things in the works on the property.
If you're able to visit this wonderful place, don't hesitate--just go!
I'm not exactly sure how to start a review of a hotel that is so magical it is like a dream. The approach to the hotel is bucolic. The church and steeple a few yards away completes the pix. The driveway is narrow and steep. You arrive in the covered garage where someone quickly takes your luggage out and parks your car while you go into the hotel to check in.
That's when you fully realize that the hotel is embedded into the mountain and you are staring at a city down below and a beautiful mountain.
The rooms are spacious and we have a large terrace with a view of the mountain. All eating areas seem to have a view of the mountains. There are several outside areas to eat and there is afternoon tea with a buffet of delectable desserts.
We had dinner there each night as it would have been nuts to drive down the mountain or come back at night. The food is delicious.
Bathrooms and rooms very modern. So contemporary that all but the toilet is made of glass. Need to be careful as to who you room with!!!
Let's get to the amazing features that compete with the view - the SPA and POOL>
There is an infinity pool. It hangs off the mountain. As you swim to the edge of the pool, it seems like the world is in front of you.
They have and indoor and outdoor relaxation room and I used both. So relaxing and quiet.
We had massages which were excellent.
I can not recommend this hotel enough. If you are going to the Italian Alps - go there!!!!
