How to Get There
Heading to the hotel we did not know what to expect, and upon arrival we were blown away!!! The staff was so welcoming, gave a fabulous tour and showed us to our room. The room was spacious, new and nice. The balcony was large, with a hot tub and lounge chairs and STUNNING VIEW!!! The staff was friendly and helpful. The infinity pool is beautiful. The views from this hotel are so perfect because you are in the middle of the town, so views to the left, right and straight ahead were all breathtaking. Location is great right in the heart of town. We really enjoyed our stay here and hope to be back!!
Ah! How do I even begin. I just came back from our honeymoon in Greece. We stayed at Santorini Secret Suites & Spa for 3 nights. The hotel is amazing and the service is even more amazing!!!!
We got to the hotel at 6 am (check in is 2pm) we were told our room was still occupied and they would try to have it ready by 12. Time comes and the people in the room had asked for a late check out so they now would have it ready at 2. Ugh! This is obviously not the hotel’s fault, but they were sooo nice. They provided breakfast and made sure we were as comfortable as possible while we waited.
Breakfast in balcony was great everyday and the pool was to die for. Everyone, from the receptionists, to the waiters to the pool crew were amazing and always trying so hard to make sure you were having a great time. I felt so spoiled!
Definitely an experience! I’m so glad after SO SO much research, we decided to stay here. Wouldn’t change a thing!!!
We stayed five nights. The staff were wonderful and helped us arrange a car trip of the island and a vineyard tour which helped us to get the best out of of visit. Our room was large with a good sized balcony and we enjoyed one dinner in the hotel restaurant Black Rock. We believe we have had the full Santorini experience staying at Secret Suites.
Concierges, housekeeping, hotel driver, junior mgr and all team members by the pool were excellent.
Main objection was requirement to schedule a time for breakfast the following day. On holiday + jet lag, it is hard to know when one might want to wake up and eat. A traditional hotel model where you order breakfast during the morning (even with 30-45 minute wait) would be far preferable. This is a significant enough item for us that it would likely lead us to consider a different hotel when we return.
In addition, restaurant seemed inflexible on basic requests. For example, my wife simply wanted some yogurt or fruit in the late afternoon (items that are on breakfast menu) but the restaurant was unwilling to accommodate. Fortunately a resourceful bartender at the pool was able to at least secure a piece of fruit.
We would suggest that restaurant/food service needs to achieve same level of hospitality that is offered in all other aspects of the hotel. It may be an award-winning restaurant for dinners but should also be able to assist in relatively ordinary requests of hotel guests.
We had a fabulous time at the Santorini Secrets Spa Hotel. The staff was fantastic, they were all very friendly and always spoke when we saw them. The rooms were very nice and large. The bathrooms had the best shower. The view was beautiful and the sunset view is a short walk away down the street.
