Modern design at its best, this boutique bolthole minutes from the Aegean Sea has enough glossy aesthetics to clinch the deal for style-seekers. The location is truly gorgeous; in the picture-perfect village of Lindos that’s all car-free cobbled streets, whitewashed houses, cosy little restaurants, and a rather famous acropolis set on a hillside over 100 metres high.
Following a recent refurb, all of the 21 modern guest rooms assure ultra-chic décor; think lashings of whites and creams, beamed ceilings, and statement-making artworks. Sunny days can be spent sipping ice-cold cocktails on the Sky Bar Terrace, hitting the golden sands at the nearby beach, and taking fun donkey rides in the lovely town. Best of all, you’ll be just an hour’s drive from the island capital of Rhodes Town where historic highlights include the Palace of the Grand Master (also known as the Kastello) and the fabulous Street of the Knights.
How to Get There
Stayed for 10 nights in a Superior Double Room, which was very well appointed and just right for a couple. Eleni and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking is by the main road at the top of Lindos. Great views from the Sky Bar. A 5 min walk downhill takes you into the heart of the delightful town of Lindos, where there are many great shops and restaurants. It's a steepish climb back up, but as 71 year olds, was no problem. Best beach is St Pauls, which has free parking just by, or a 20 min walk.
Stayed for 9 nights in one of the Castle view rooms (number 17), which was really lovely & we had a small balcony with a fantastic view of the acropolis (worth visiting, but go between 8am & 9:30am before the heat & crowds get too much). The beds are so comfortable we slept so well & had a wonderful, relaxing holiday here. We had a delicious breakfast every morning at the Sky Bar terrace & felt very well looked after. The coffee is so good, we had the Americano black, with no sugar - usually I find coffee too much without milk & sugar. The pastries are yummy and you can also have an omelette or scrambled eggs. Recommend trying the feta cheese & olives too!
Virtually everyday of our holiday we went to the beach at St Paul’s Bay (see separate review for beach & Dimitris Beach Bar), which is a short walk down through Lindos town. There are a few steps and slopes to walk down (or up on the return journey), but good to have a little bit of exercise! We decided to go to Rhodes Old Town (definitely worth a visit) on our last day, as we had a late flight home. Lindos Comfy Suites recommended that we could leave our luggage at the Plaza hotel (Best Western) just outside Rhodes Old Town, so that was perfect for us (& they did not charge us anything!). Would recommend Lindos Comfy Suites for a relaxing holiday! (They also have complimentary WiFi & bottled water).
Celebrated my birthday here in September with a 9 night stay. We had an economy room which was small, but had everything we needed. You get free water every day, room cleaned and towels changed etc. There was a very small bistro table outside our room where we could sit and have a drink and take in the wonderful views. There is also an area adjacent to the Sky bar that guests can use to sit or sunbathe. You can use the pool at the Lindos View over the road as it is open to the public.
Eleni and all the other staff at Comfy suites are wonderful, friendly and so helpful. There is only a Nespresso maker in the room and were very kindly supplied with a kettle when we mentioned that we only drink tea ????
We did not participate in the continental breakfast at the Sky bar as we felt 14 euros a head was too expensive. You can get a full cooked breakfast in the village for around 8 euros including tea and toast. We also did not use the Sky bar as the cocktails were again expensive and also very few people seem to use it. It cannot be seen from the main road, so maybe it’s a difficult to draw people in?
Our stay was very comfortable and we absolutely loved staying in the village. On previous holidays we’ve stayed on the outskirts and had to taxi in! It’s only a short walk into town, but do not wear heels! The paths are steep, cobbled and slippery in places. It’s only a short walk to St Paul’s or the main beach. The location of these rooms was absolutely perfect for us and when we come back, which we will, we shall stay here again but probably just get a bigger room!
