How to Get There
My Daughter and I visited for 6 days towards the end of October 2018 and end of season. We had the most amazing and relaxing time just as we intended to. The staff were brilliant and very hospitable. The food offered at the al a carte restaurants was very appetising and we were very fortunate to eat at all of them. The buffet restaurant was also awesome with good variety. Our favourite place was the creperie and waffle bar.
The venue is stunning and management pride themselves on the high level of cleanliness and comfort they provide.
The resort attracted people from various countries other than England and we met some incredible people.
Overall a brilliant holiday and we will definitely be returning. Thank you Mitsis Laguna!
I don't even think I could find anything to criticise about the hotel- the staff are all lovely, especially the guys at the pool bar. The food was delicious and I can only wish there was gyros on offer every day. The only a la carte we did was the Italian and it was fantastic, a delicious 3 courses and was pretty easy to book (we queued straight after breakfast). We spent most of our time at the beach with the lovely drinks man bringing us mojitos!
Room was big and comfortable, fresh towels & drinks delivered each day, we also had a few complimentary gifts such as wine and sweets which was lush.
Pool was very cold but that is to be expected in April, would be visiting again in 2019 if the flights were cheaper
Just a short walk from Hersonissos but miles away in terms of style. the Laguna Beach is definitely on of the pearls in the Mitsis chain of hotels. We stayed for 9 days in early October an even though the weather was very end of seasons the welcome and the warmth of the staff made up for that. Ours favourites things must the creperie where there's indulgent cakes as well a great big smile and one the best places to sit at anytime of day and watch the world go by
We decided to re visit Mitsis Laguna during October this year following a lovely holiday we had last year. We were pleasantly surprised to be welcomed back by the same staff on reception, who seemed to remember us from last year. Some things have changed for the better, such as: the main restaurant opening later at night to provide light meals for late arrivals; an on line reservation system for the additional on-site restaurants and pool towels now being left in the bedrooms. The hotel complex is still immaculate. I did notice that there were more young families this year than last year, but I don't have a problem with that as I have my own family.
I had originally booked a family bungalow, but was told that they were all booked up, so we were moved to two sea view rooms nearer the main complex and restaurants. If i'm totally honest, I prefer the bungalows further away from the main pool area, but this was not a problem as it meant my older teenage daughters got their own room and mini bar!
We were only away for a few days, so only got to try the Italian restaurant this time. I would suggest to anyone coming to Mitsis Laguna to try at least one of the bookable restaurants as the atmosphere is great and the staff are lovely. Although the staff in the main restaurant are fantastic, it is very busy, so it's great to have a chance to eat in another setting. This year, we also tried the Champagne Bar, which we all really liked as it gave us a little space from the younger families. It's lovely to be able to sit and look out towards the sea, or just people watch inside from the Champagne or Night bar.
The only downside of our stay was the weather, but that's a chance you have to take in October. We will probably return again, although feel that we'd like to sample more Mitsis hotels to see if they are as good as Laguna!
Hotel is lovely, nice pools, staff very friendly and right on beach. Rooms are very pretty and comfortable but not always very clean. A little rough around edges in places and things like towels looking old. Spa very nice. Restaurants average. The main buffet one has good choice but others you need to book for (Italian, Mexican,Greek and sushi) have very limited menu. They were helpful in these restaurant when it came to my gluten allergy but the main thing that disappointed me was the lack of food I could get at certain times in the day. This wouldn’t be a problem for anyone without allergies but between 2 and 7 there isn’t anywhere to get food except the pancake/ice cream cafe. Unfortunately I was told all the ice cream contained gluten too.
