When you think of Santorini, you picture hair-raising sunsets, uninterrupted views across the Aegean Sea, and iconic whitewashed churches with sapphire-blue domes – the village of Imerovigli is everything you could have possibly imagined. Staying at the luxurious Kasimatis Suites, you’ll be in one of Santorini’s best placed towns to revel in the unique beauty of the island’s landscape.
The family-run complex sits in a privileged position in the highest point of the caldera, boasting incredible views towards the glistening blue sea and Nea Kameni volcano. The architecture doesn’t stray from traditions of the sun-kissed Greek neighbourhood either, with its whitewashed exterior and bold lines blending in with its Cycladic surroundings. Guestrooms are in keeping with tradition too, featuring elegant Mediterranean touches and fabulous vistas.
Grab a book from the lobby library before heading to a poolside sun bed, where you can recline while soaking up the stunning panoramas spanning the Santorini caldera. Explore the village of Imerovigli, with its warren of narrow streets lined with traditional houses and small churches. Cap off a fantastic day with a simple but decadent meal of local delicacies at one of the tavernas in the town. The bustling capital of Santorini, Fira, is also just a 20-minute walk should you fancy the atmosphere of a buzzing bar for a few drinks.
How to Get There
We were fortunate to stay here for two nights. The view is as spectacular as it appears in the photographs. You do not have to leave the hotel to enjoy the sunsets from your own private terrace, which is also the best place to savour the delicious breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful and our room was unique and comfortable. Highly recommend this hotel.
We stayed at Kasimatis suites in late September and the price of the room was very good in comparison to the surrounding properties.
The only minus is the breakfast -which is small and basic-.
The room is small with a great view and always clean.
The girls at the Reception -Ellie and Ivy- are incredible and there was not one thing that we asked and didn't get, they are definitely the high point of the hotel and made our vacation extraordinary with the great suggestions!!
My wife and I stayed for 5 nights in October. The hotel itself is in a great location. The sunsets are beautiful and the walks in the Oia and Fira are great.
The rooms are kept clean and tidy but some are at varying standards to others. For instance (not that you go for a TV) the TV in room 3 is data and gets no channels as advertised. The cable from the wall is damaged which I reported but it didn’t get replaced just tidied up. Other room we walked passed seemed a lot more modern. The other issue with room 3 is that the cleaners store cupboard is directly next to the door of the room. The maintenance guy and the cleaners was in and out the store room from 7 am waking us up daily. Having said that the room was spotless and the cleaners were excellent.
The hotel staff are fantastic and looked after us answering every question and gave great information about walks and places to visit.
We hired a buggy that was well worth it we got to see all the beautiful island.
I would have no issues recommending this beautiful hotel, my wife and I went for our wedding anniversary and it was perfect.
