The enchanting medieval treasure trove of Rhodes is the king among Greece’s 227 inhabited islands. Here, you can meander through the ancient, cobbled alleyways of the beautiful Old Town (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), sample sublime seafood at a bustling taverna or stroll through the glittering Mandraki Harbor. However you spend your time here, you’ll soon be smitten with the Dodecanese’s most romantic destination.
Located on the northern coast of the island, Electra Palace Hotel leads the way in Mediterranean refinery. Here, you’ll find elegant interiors and inviting guestrooms with all the contemporary amenities you could imagine, as well as dazzling views of the Aegean Sea. An array of excellent restaurants and bars deliver first-class international cuisine, and the resort’s spa boasts a treatment menu so luxe, you’re sure to feel like a Greek god (or goddess).
Each Sea Front Superior room boasts a comfortable amount of space and tons of natural light. Stylish, contemporary furniture complements the crisp, white bedding, and you’ll find all the essential modern comforts, such as a satellite TV and Wi-Fi access. Of course, the best part has to be the private balcony with breathtaking sea views.
Four exquisite eateries are on hand to keep your taste buds happy. The expansive main restaurant serves up impressive lunch and dinner buffets, as well as an American breakfast. Orientalista serves delicious Eastern Mediterranean grilled food, while A La Chinoise and the al-fresco Al Convento offer up excellent Chinese and Italian cuisine, respectively (both reservation only). The sophisticated Lobby Bar and the chilled-out Pool Bar provide liquid refreshment to suit any taste, and there’s even a gelateria for you to enjoy.
Famed for its incredibly well preserved medieval Old Town – which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and played host to the Knights Templar in bygone times – Rhodes is awash with ancient history and romanticism. Stroll down the famous Street of the Knights, pay a visit to the Grand Master’s Palace, and explore the gorgeous medieval walls. Further out, the picturesque whitewashed town of Lindos, with its famous acropolis, makes for a pleasing day trip. You may also want to take a ferry ride over to the sleepy nearby island of Symi, known for its picturesque harbor and lovely shops and tavernas.
How to Get There
My friend took me here to celebrate my 60th birthday and it ticked all boxes. Regardless of the fact that she had booked 2 single beds and we were first shown into a double room, this was efficiently rectified by the wonderful reception staff. We were greeted by a lovely lady with a glass of Prossecco and no rush to check in. The complex was beautifully clean. our maid greeted us every morning with a beaming smile .I never ate the same food for Dinner because of the wonderful tasty choices that were presented. Larry the Beach Barman is an absolute big plus to the hotel staff, never before have i experienced conversations initiated whilst waiting to order a drink amongst strangers at the bar! The staff are brilliant from the waitresses to the ladies that keep the restaurant topped up with the best food. Electra Palace, thank you everyone, I had a wonderful time and will bring my Husband with me next time
Stated here in May this year for a week .....fantastic hotel ..rooms cleaned every day.clean towels and sheets .....pool area and beach beautiful....All restaurants were lovely .sugar cube the best ...only down fall was entertainment could be a little but more lively and drinks not the best unless you ask for branded ..would definitely stay here again
I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The staff were fantastic and friendly. Especially the entertainment team (Adela and Dimitris). As an all inclusive hotel the food was excellent, plus having several restaurants to choose from was a bonus. The hotel was very clean and has a modern feel. It is on the flight path but this didn't bother me.
This is our second visit just to say thank you for a brilliant holiday the pool area is amazing there is so much space you just chill out a big thank you to Nula at the sugar cube coffee bar from the two ladies room 419 who remember what we had every day
The hotel is so spacious and the superior rooms are so nice the staff and housekeeping are so helpful what we found this year is there are bars and restaurants out side the beach area which is a nice walk after dinner
We would come back again
We returned yesterday, 18th June, 2018, and as promised when talking to the hotel manager I am writing my review. The hotel is beautifully furnished, decorated and kept spotlessly clean. Our room was in the annexe on the second floor of the complex and in our opinion located in a perfect area overlooking the scrumptious pool. I asked for a room with a shower en suite not a bath as I have mobility problems and was accommodated without any fuss being made. The room was very nice with two easy chairs and the air conditioning very efficient. It was also kept spotlessly clean by the maids. We swam in the large pool most days as the water was lovely and warm. The food was very good, well displayed, hot, with a very large choice to suit all tastes. We stayed half board so quite a few times we used the other restaurants at lunch time and were surprised at the choice and price of the food, also all the drinks at the many bars, were very reasonable. On the day we went to Rhodes town we took advantage of the service provided to book times to be picked up and dropped off in the town, then a time to be picked up for the return journey back to the hotel by a mini bus this was all for 6 euros per person for the round trip. The staff in all areas were very friendly, polite and helpful, a WELL DONE to all, in our opinion, a very happy workforce. My only criticism was the evening entertainment as it was limited and then repeated the following week. All in all we had a lovely holiday.
