Very good

We received a good offer on the room and breakfast (Marine room over the spa). The only comments I have is that the decoration in the room and bathroom need refreshing and brightening up . The breakfast was excellent. We dined at the restaurant and it was very good. The spa is excellent, the massage was perfect.

Fabulous Hotel

My wife and I stayed for one evening on 15 July 2018 and was extremely impressed with this hotel. The whole ambience of this hotel is superb with individual service in every way. The food presented for dinner was excellent and can only be noted as being first class. Every course and there were many, each presented with attention to detail, by the waiting staff. Prepared by a Chef with a passion to tease the palette of any food lovers.
The buffet breakfast was excellent in every detail, superb local produce and a vast choice of food associated with fine hotels.
The room was large and a well appointed bathroom. The view was terrific from the large bedroom window to the surrounding countryside and beyond.
A terrific stay and one I would definitely recommend to anyone wishing to add that extra special stay in France.
We will be returning.

Booked this hotel with travelbird as a short getaway frol Belgium with my partner. We really enjoyed our stay! Super friendly and helpfull personel who gave us a warm welcome, diner was amazing, the saloon was cosy where we went for an apero and an after diner drink and chess game, breakfast was just heaven with all kinds of biological and regional products and even bubbles, the spa was clean and nice, the bedroom was spacious with a nice vue on the ocean. Also liked the fact that the number of bedrooms is limited and that it's only for couples. Short, we really came to rest there and were sad we had to leave. Definitely would come back!

Always more…. to pay... but good team

We decided to spend the night in a very nice hotel, so we chose the Manoir de la Poterie. The building is in good state but the style looks rather dated, even old fashion for a hotel which is just 15 years old.
Similar with the bedroom, we expected so much more considering the 4 stars, and it was rather basic, even though we took a superior bedroom. Funny they state that the toilets are in a separate room, and they are in the bathroom :-(
If you come with a baby, do bring his/her own bed or you will have to pay for it. Same thing with the spa, it seems that you have to pay for in order to access the sauna!! The swimming pool and hamam are free at least.
Then we went for diner, and I have to say that the staff there was very efficient, and very nice. The quality of the food is good.
Last but far from least, the breakfast was a great moment of pleasure and surprise. You cannot leave the hotel with their breakfast, you would miss out.
Staff at the reception desk was very nice as well.

4* hotel at 5* prices

We stayed here last year around the same time of year and thought we would give it another go . Booked the Louis 16th suite as it was the last room available .
I had given this 3 * last time and the same again only because again the staff make this place . Disappointed that I can't give more but for the money paid you can get better .

Rooms - our suite was large and over the spa , can't really fault the rooms except they are boiling hot , opened the windows but as the blinds were attached the light work us up at about 5 a.m . Just stick a 20 euro fan in each room problem solved ideally in a 4 * should have air con . Rooms clean and well equipped good room information via folder.

Meal - evening meal is good , the pre dinner drinks will set up back 30 euros while you choose but the lounge area is pleasant. The food is very good ...but not as good as last visit when it was exceptional. My turbot was exchanged for sea bass without a financial discount hardly a fair swap money wise and one small fillet and a bit of plain rice for 38€ bit tight . The wine choice again is very good and a fair range from 30 euro a bottle upto 100 ish. Well stocked bar in the lounge area.

Breakfast is pretty good at 22 euros each a good choice we came down late so hot choice was a bit limited . You can though help yourself to champagne or calvados for breakfast !!

Spa-looks great didn't have time to try it .

Overall- our bill with a discounted room via one of the online sites came to around 450 euros , now the meal was over 200 for two people, the evening before we had dined at a 5* in Deauville and it was the same price , I just feel that a country restaurant 4* should be a bit less than a 5* town place , it is expensive !

In short I would say that the hotel is fine and relaxing but I think that it's expensive for the same price you can stay 4 miles up to road at a 5* hotel with all the little extras associated with the different level.

Shame .
