Warehouse-turned-hotel on Copenhagen’s waterfront, with reimagined nautical interiors and a brasserie-style restaurant

The Lowdown

Originally constructed as a warehouse granary in 1787, the Copenhagen Admiral Hotel is harmonious marriage of history and contemporary design. This 366-room grande dame sits perfectly poised on Copenhagen’s famous harbor, with views of city’s greatest hits such as the Opera House and Royal Palace. In 2002, iconic London-based designers Conran & Partners lovingly reimagined the lofty interiors and the result is vintage maritime chic look, from the model ships in the lobby, to the rustic exposed beam ceilings, brick walls and ocean-inspired blue and gray color palette in the guestrooms. The hotel is also home to the brasserie-style SALT restaurant and bar, where you can sample modern Nordic fare such as lightly salted pork tenderloin and braised pig cheek with redcurrants, horseradish and broccoli from head chef Rasmus Møller Nielsen.

In the Area

Join the culture cognoscenti in savoring Copenhagen’s rich landscape of art, design, history and music, which kicks into full gear during the summer months. Listen to some tunes at the annual Copenhagen Jazz Festival or head over to the Jean Nouvel-designed Koncerthuset to see chamber music performances or pop concerts. Catch a free performance in the foyer at the Royal Danish Theatre, or the hotel can even arrange dinner at SALT followed by a boat transfer to the Royal Opera. Delve below the surface at the new and otherworldly Blue Planet aquarium, and then visit The Arctic Ring, Copenhagen’s new zoo, devoted to polar bears, North Atlantic birds and seals.

Quality service

Very nice stay, together with kids. The hotel upgraded standard of the room free of charge to make our stay more comfortable - thank you!
Not that many leisure facilities in the building itself, but overall standard and room design just great.

very good stay

Everything is great, very good location, walk to the centre by walk within 20 minutes, the room is very clean and modern. but there is no tissue and slipper in the room. staff are very friendly, I would recommand this hotel

Very nice

Fantastic hotel. Very calm and cool atmosphere. No noice in the room from other rooms/hallway. Restaurant was very nice. Food was excellent but portions was very small. Very nice view directly towards the Opera.
