The Lowdown

Azia Resort & Spa offers a high degree of comfort, with a calming design aesthetic and stunning views over the Mediterranean. Composed of three separate properties, it’s set within lush tropical gardens that provide fresh produce to the resort’s restaurants. It offers barefoot living and an earthy and artistic décor of marble, silk, murano glass, gold leaf and wood lattice work, with nods to Cyprus’ checkered history of Greek, Venetian and Arab influence.
The Asphodel Spa has won plaudits for its fantastic range of treatments, luxurious products and soothing open-air environs. Here, you’ll also have the use of an indoor and outdoor freshwater pool, tennis courts and gym. If you’re a golf-lover, you’ll enjoy the close proximity of three 18-hole courses, and there’s a diverse array of watersports available locally, including scuba diving, windsurfing and water skiing. Just three miles from the center of Paphos, this is a great base for exploring a historic city, rich in archaeological sites, beautiful, sandy beaches and tasty little tavernas.

This is a relaxing, and peaceful hotel. We stayed in a premium room with terrace and garden/sea- view which was worth the upgrade. Air-conditioning efficient and could be turned down at night to reduce the sound whilst maintaining a cool room. We looked on to lush gardens, palm trees and the sea.

You don't have direct access to the beach as the hotel is set above sea level. The hotel has little around it in walking distance so you'd need to hire a car, get a bus or taxi to visit beaches, shops or restaurants.

We were meters away from the adult pool and bar. You can swim lengths in the adult pool and there is also a jacuzzi area on the lower level. The English barman at the adult pool was friendly and helpful.

The entertainment was fine and the compere very funny. The musicians in the Cava bar were of a very high standard. My toes were tapping away! The staff in the Cava bar were attentive and friendly (shout out to Constantin.).

All the staff in the main restaurant were observant and efficient. A special thanks to the young pizza chef who noticed my daughter was waiting for a vegetarian pizza and the surprised us by bringing it fresh to our table without being asked! Food was of an excellent standard; I especially enjoyed the dark bread, fish dishes at lunch and the pistachio mousse.....

Our only gripe was a lack of labelling for vegetarian food as my daughter does not eat fish or meat. You can't tell if a vegetable soup contains chicken stock or if a pudding contains animal gelatine just by looking. We mentioned this to guest relations and she took our comments on board.

We ate at the italian (very good) and mezze (excellent) a la carte restaurants. The hostess at the mezze restaurant was especially welcoming and attentive and could confirm for us which dishes contained no meat or fish.

The spa is not cheap but the treatment I had was of an extremely high standard. Best facial ever!

All in all a very good 7 nights away. I would return. If you are vegetarian make sure you notify the hotel before your stay; we were assured by guest relations that had we done this there would have been more information/alternatives given......

Well where do I begin. I have just got back from a beautiful holiday to the Azia resort & spar hotel in paphos. Just wonderful. From the staff whom all work so hard the the amazing hotel. I had a mountain view which was breathtaking. The room it's self was very clean and very welcoming. There were dressing gowns nice. Maids came and cleaned every day. Also the evening maids came to turn your beds down n leave little chocs for you. The little touches.
Also the choice of pools was very nice as there was an Adult only 1.So made it easy to have some quiet time. The day entertainment was great and funny hands up to them.
I only did hlf board but the quality was brilliant. There's also a local bus at front of hotel that you can hop on for couple euros to go either in to paphos harbour which is lovely or other way to coral bay. Beautiful.
I don't no way else to say about the whole experience other than it ended too soon. And the best way to experience it all is just to go. You won't be disappointed

Amazing staff and great food

The hotel was beautiful, very clean, well presented and the views were amazing. We booked our holiday with an all inclusive package, we found that the food was great and each day has a particular theme which created a variety of options.

The restaurant staff were always very helpful, nothing was ever too much to ask. They always made sure we were happy with everything and we always left smiling. We also had 2 meals at their a la carte restaurant, the food was absolutely amazing. The aisian restaurant exceeded our expectations while the grill restaurant with its romantic setting gave us a beautiful atmosphere.

What really made our stay was the staff everyone was friendly and always made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Tereza in the cava bar was attentative, friendly and would always remember our usual order.

Rory was one of the first members of staff we had an interaction with at the pool bar, he has great energy, enthusiastic, plus he makes a good cocktail.

Most of our interactions throughout the day were at the adult bar. Where we met Andrew, who was great. He always knew our usual orders, we would always have laugh and he would make our stay very enjoyable. Plus he can also make a very good cocktail!

The level of service was fantastic as soon as one of our glasses was remotely empty a member of staff would be round to see if we needed a new drink.

This would be my second time to cyprus and my partner's 1st. I'm glad this was her first experience of the country and we would both return to the resort in a heart beat. We will be returning in the future!

Would recommend not just Cyprus but this resort to anyone.

Relaxing holiday

We had an enjoyable 2 week all inclusive stay at the end of May to June. Having booked a mountain view room we were very happy to have a bungalow overlooking the main pool, with sea view, sun on the balcony all day and beautiful view of the sun setting through the palm trees.

-We found the hotel clean throughout, well presented and in a great location.
-All inclusive buffet provided a good range of food at breakfast (including fresh waffles and pancakes daily), and lunch, while dinner had themed nights. Desserts were the best I've seen and tasted at an all inclusive. We tried two of the a la Carte restaurants and were impressed with the quality and presentation of food.
-We spent most of our time at the adult only pool and could find sunbeds at any time of day.
-There is a library of left books in the Premium lounge, where I was allowed to exchange my books.
-All staff we spoke to were a delight, especially in the main restaurant. Friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Christina, Amy, Luvio and Roulla in the restaurant, and the staff in the Cava bar. We also required maintenance of our room to fix noisy air-con and a leak in the bathroom ceiling - The handyman came quickly for both. Thanks also to Alex the concierge, who was helpful when we had trouble with a taxi.
-Evening entertainment - The singers in the Cava bar were brilliant. Fire show was the best on the main stage.
-Room comfort - unfortunately I didn't sleep very well as the room was too bright. Our first floor bungalow had a skylight window above the bathroom, and coupled with the large window that was between the bathroom and bedroom, meant that we were woken up at sunrise, i.e. 5.30am. There was a white blind at the bathroom window which emphasised the brightness. Can I suggest to management that in these rooms the white blinds are replaced with blackout blinds?
-Bottled water was freely available on all inclusive which was great, but there were no recycling bins available for plastics, so I wondered how much waste is being created. Perhaps the hotel could offer bottled water, but encourage people to refill bottles by providing filtered water?

Overall we had a relaxing holiday at the Azia and thank all the staff for their smiles and hard work.
