The hotel is perfectly placed for all the West End attractions, restaurants and theatres. Our check-in was swift and the receptionist was extremely helpful. Although our junior suite was comfortable we did expect a little more luxury for the price.

London City Break

We stayed in Thistle at Trafalgar square recently and we had great time from very beginning! We got the room before check in time that was very helpful. There is construction around the hotel but Janinna at the reception found the quiet room for us and made our stay, because my boyfriend has very light sleep. Breakfast was superb we enjoyed full English breakfast and went to the city. Location is perfect you can walk everywhere and hotel is behind the national gallery. Very convenient hotel with great and helpful staff we will definitely come back!

Great stay

Just returned from a weekend in London and stayed 2 nights in this Thistle hotel. Great location, very central. Trafalgar Square around the corner as well as Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus, Regent Street and most theatres. Around the hotel there is an enormous amount of construction going on, but I did not mind. Staff at hotel all very friendly; the early check-in and late check-out were much appreciated! Breakfast buffet was £10 p/p, which I thought was a very reasonable price for what you get as there was plenty to choose from. My room was OK, bathroom needed some maintenance (no water pressure while flushing toilet and water temperature in shower was not stable), though all in all I recommend this hotel and will definitely return.

Great location for a very nice low key center to your London adventure. If you like to walk to experience the charm of London the the Thistle couldn't be better. Easy walking distance to Trafalgar, the Museum. and the Piccadilly Theater district. The rooms are excellent as well the breakfast menu. A few extra steps to the Horse Guard, St. James Park and Buckingham Palace. Great Restaurants in every direction and Pret Manger at the end of the street for that quick bite or coffee.

Great location

This hotel is in a prime location, just off Trafalgar Sqare and so convenient for Leicester Square, theatres and shops. We have stayed here several times, and the rooms are great, and there are some nice touches, comfortable beds, safes, irons, hairdryers, and free items in the mini bar in the junior suites. There are currently building works in the area, with some road closures locally, but so easy to walk to local attractions, although a slight trek from the underground either at Charing Cross or Leicester Square. All in all though the slight niggles make it worthwhile
