very annoying Maid!

The hotel is clean and comfortable and staff are generally helpful and friendly. We were annoyed to be woken by the maid trying to come into our room at 830am - and again 10 minutes later despite the 'do not disturb' sign being put up! It wouldn't have been so bad but we were refused access to our room half an hour early the day before as it wasn't ready!!!!!

Poor customer service

We had booked a [costly] package for a concert in Hyde Park to see one of our favourite musicians and an overnight stay in this hotel. We didn't mind about the tiny room. However, the staff made a mistake and thought that we didn't have breakfast included [only came to that conclusion after we had been seated]. My wife and I can understand mistakes can happen, but the way we were confronted over breakfast was inexcusable and spoilt what was supposed to be a special occasion. Maybe it indicates how the hotel manages it's staff that they are so scared over relatively small issues, or maybe they need better training. In any case, they could have handled this much better. Once they realised they had made an error, all we got was a half hearted apology and an explanation that they had written down the wrong room number. Didn't make up for the embarrassment of being accused in a pretty loud voice in an open environment that we hadn't paid for our breakfast when we had. We live in London and it was a huge disappointment to be treated in this way in our hometown. We would have been better off just taking a taxi home instead and ending the concert on a good note rather than this!

Over priced and gross.

Terrible mattress, blood stained sheets, broken TV, horrible WiFi. Do not stay here. We paid 1100 usd for 3 nights. We slept in our room and avoided the place at all costs during the day. I would never stay here again.

Great location

Clean, friendly and great location near 2 tube stations and many restaurants, a 10 min walk to Hyde Park. Have stayed before and probably will again. Queensway or Lancaster Gate tube stations take you, with one change, straight into theatre land in around 30 mins.
