Gracious owner!
Reviewed 4 days ago

Had booked 2 rooms after seeing the rave reviews in this post. However, had made a mistake thinking it was on 'free cancellation' . As the paxs have not been confirmed for my yearend trip, had made a request to cancel the bookings which supposedly ahould not be allowed. To my surprise, the benevolent boss of this property appreciated the predicament I am in and granted my emrequest without charge. I think a business not only need to have a good product, but also a gracious management and owner in order to thrive. Windermere is one such good shinning example of both!

Great family accommodations

We booked the family suite. Perfect for a family of four with teens who want to explore the city. Connecting rooms, included all of the needed amenities and the AC worked perfect. Easy walk to Victoria station and tube, 20 minute walk to Westminster Abbey. Located in a nice neighborhood with pubs and restaurants. Staff was very helpful, morning breakfast was nice. Hotel is clean and safe.

Lovely Hotel

I am so pleased we found this little hotel. It is in a quiet corner of London and in walking distance to many attractions. We didn't use the tube and just walked everywhere. Some nice pubs and restaurants nearby too. Also close to Victoria station and Coach Station, as we travelled by coach it was very convenient. Good breakfast too. This was a flying visit but it will definitely be on our 'go to' hotel list in London.

Location, location, location

This is a classic boutique hotel situated in an idyllic location of London, walking distance to attractions and public transport. The Hambi family and their team genuinely care about their lodgers. Breakfast is cooked to your liking and Gloucia welcomes you with a huge, friendly and genuine smile every morning. We also dined at the hotel and could not fault it. Rooms are clean and spacious, except for our bathroom which was quite small, but l would not rate the hotel any less. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend the Windermere to family and friends.

A London Stay

Boutique type hotel and chosen because of it's location to Victoria Station. Room a little small but very clean and the staff both in reception and the kitchen/dining room were wonderful. Close to plenty of restaurants but definitely recommend the breakfast although dinner meals were very nice as well as being reasonably priced. Good value for money and would definitely stay there again.
