How to Get There
We stayed there 3 days. The lobby and restaurants are beautiful. They serve a very fine breakfast. The rooms are small but very nice and we managed with 4 pieces of luggage plus carry one!. The location is perfect to walk to many of the sites you would want to visit....the Palace, Big Ben, West Minster Abby, The London Eye. Took a ride on the Thames River up to the London Bridge and the Tower of London.
Stopped here for two nights for a work confrance, the staff where brillant and coudnt do enough for us.
Rooms whre very comfy with plenty of room, breakfast was yummy with plenty of choose. would look at staying here again when in London.
A very welcoming visit to this hotel. All staff went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable.Beautiful English Grill restaurant with helpful staff at all levels. Perfect location to Buckingham Place and St James Park
It’s the first visit to London for our 5 year old son and we were looking for a hotel that would make it special for our visit as a family. Nikki in reservations could not have done more to understand what we would like and what we would need to make the stay magical. She has gone out of her way to ensure the room will have all the extras and a few special surprises plus arranged a cup cake decorating morning with the pastry chefs. I am so impressed with the level of detail taken to ensure we have a wonderful stay and the same detail given to our son to make his experience special. We cant wait to arrive tomorrow.
I don't like writing anything to say our stay wasn't just perfect and it hurts me to do so but I feel I must be honest. We have stayed in Rubens 5 times and have another stay booked, we love the hotel. The staff are so welcoming and the hotel is the nearest one to Buckingham Palace. I booked two Executive rooms two months in advance, we like these rooms because they have a sofa and are spacious. We traveled with my sister and her husband and the trip was for his 60th birthday, we stayed 3 nights. We wanted them to have the best room because it was his celebration, they had the same room as we always have. When we went in to ours it was not what we booked. it had two single beds, a very small wardrobe, a small set of drawers and was dark and gloomy with a window looking on to some pipes in the middle of the building. It was a king size room not an Executive room. Twice we spoke to reception and we said we were not happy, they said they didn't have another executive room until tomorrow when we could change. Once you have unpacked you do not want to do it again, and we had a busy itinary. By this stage we were quite upset, anyway they did move us after about 40 minutes, into another king size room with a view of the Mews . It was a nice room but not what we booked. We never complain and it upset us to do so. Thank you for the free glass of Champagne, but it did not stop our feeling of being upset at the very start of our trip. Anyway breakfast as always was delicious. The hotel is lovely, a delightful lady singing on an evening. Everyone very helpful. Was disappointed that my brother in law didn't get a little cake for his birthday which we have had before but never mind the Ritz very kindly presented him with one after our meal on his birthday. Everything else was really nice. They had charged us for an Executive room until we pointed out we were given a King size and it was cheaper, but they apologized and reimbursed us the difference. Just think attention to detail that made us love Rubens Hotel so much as just slipped a little. I hope when I visit again I can give it full marks.
