Glamorous, boutique stay in the heart of picturesque South Kensington, close to some of London's best museums and sights

The Lowdown

Tucked away on the magnificent Cromwell Road, The Rockwell enjoys some of the most iconic surroundings in the capital. Its neighbors include The Natural History Museum, the V&A and the Royal Albert Hall, not to mention the designer boutiques of Kensington High Street. Who knows, you might even spot a Royal in nearby Kensington Gardens. The Rockwell seamlessly blends boutique luxury with an innate sense of character, with bright interiors, pale walls, cozy furnishings, just 40 rooms, a pretty walled garden and a home-away-from-home feel. After a busy day in the metropolis, it’s the perfect retreat to switch off in; expect crackling fires, deep armchairs and fresh flowers in every room.

A little gem

Currently just about to check out of this hotel after a very pleasing stay. Being honest I was under pressure to book something walking distance to Hyde Park and took a chance on this hotel. The hotel is great value for being so close to the city. The room is large for London and has everything you need. Fab shower and everything is clean and new. Staff could not be more helpful and are always really pleasant. Air con and heating both work well and our window looked into the garden. We walked everywhere and didn’t find anything an issue. Yesterday we were at the V&A,Harrods, Hyde Park and more and walked happily stopping at some lovely cafes along the way. In the hotel we had both the breakfast buffet and ordered from the menu. All lovely and good value. £12.50 for unlimited breakfast and coffee and £9 for large pancakes and a lovely latte. This is a boutique hotel I would say. I would highly recommend and will certainly be returning. If you like to do a little plane spotting then our room 307 is just the job. Thanks to all staff working these last couple of days for making our stay so enjoyable.

Great hotel and location

This is the second time we have stayed here . A cool hotel , small but well presented modern rooms. Location is fantastic, 5 minutes from the tube station and 15 minutes walk from the museums etc of South Kensington. There’s a nice restaurant and outdoor terrace where we had a drink . Reasonably priced room rates for the location and standard . Staff are friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back

Best hotel stay in London !

Terrific hotel near Earls Court tube station and easy access to Wimbledon. Very comfortable bed with turn down service each evening and very friendly staff throughout our stay whilst very clean and lovely garden at the rear of the hotel to chill out away from the city with a quiet drink from the bar - perfect spot to relax !
Great location and much better than others we have used in the past - one to definitely recommend and we will certainly be using again.

Great hotel and superb service

The place is not necessarily visible from the street as the signage is quite small and buried among the similar looking facades. However, the room is very well appointed, with a hair dryer and US plugs for razors. The WiFi was extremely reliable and the shower worked in a no-nonsense manner (ie. the temperature was easy to control). The room itself is small, which is expected by London standards. However, the window gives good airflow through the room and the design does increase the appearance of size. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for pleasant accomodations in a safe and quiet area of London.
