Tucked away on the magnificent Cromwell Road, The Rockwell enjoys some of the most iconic surroundings in the capital. Its neighbors include The Natural History Museum, the V&A and the Royal Albert Hall, not to mention the designer boutiques of Kensington High Street. Who knows, you might even spot a Royal in nearby Kensington Gardens. The Rockwell seamlessly blends boutique luxury with an innate sense of character, with bright interiors, pale walls, cozy furnishings, just 40 rooms, a pretty walled garden and a home-away-from-home feel. After a busy day in the metropolis, it’s the perfect retreat to switch off in; expect crackling fires, deep armchairs and fresh flowers in every room.
How to Get There
What a lovely hotel, not your normal big chain with no heart. From when we walked in and got a big smile and welcome from Roxanna on reception, to our beautiful suite with a mezzanine floor, it was a wonderful stay. The building has kept many of the period features, without being too old fashioned, and really feels homely, they have it spot on. We were there to visit the Royal Albert Hall, which was a lovely walk on a summers evening. We will most definitely be back!! Thank you.....
Stayed at the Rockwell for four nights and the room was comfortable and clean! I stayed in the superior single and had a nice view! Staff was helpful and courteous! Would definitely stay there again. It is near a tube station and many places to eat. Which was really convenient..
My mother and I booked The Rockwell for a one night stay in December 2018 as we were going to see Muse - we had such an amazing stay, that we have rebooked it for September (also as we are going to see Muse again). We have both said that it doesn't matter what we do in London or where we need to be, we are willing to travel far to stay at The Rockell. The place is pristine, the staff are amazing and so friendly, the rooms are just lovely and comfortable. The shower was lovely too. We joked that we would find it difficult to leave our room to go and see our favourite band!! (we did)
If ever you want to stay in London, this is the place to stay and absolutely worth every penny!!!
Visited here for the night on a trip to the royal Albert hall great hotel nicely situated within walking distance of High Street Kensington, the museums, royal Albert hall, although the staff did order us a car for that little trip .
The staff here could not have been any kinder and accommodating.
Nice large room and although it was on the busy Cromwell road there was not a great deal of road noise .
Good quality products in the rooms, clean and surprisingly roomy we had a nice mezzanine level and high ceilings which made the room much bigger.
Go to breakfast early though as things were getting a little short when we got down to the breakfast room . However this was soon sorted out . Good coffee too!
We will definitely stay here again thank you Rockwell hotel you made our stay very pleasant .
I rarely sleep well when I am away but I slept really well .
Definitely recommend the Rockwell hotel.
Good location and close to the underground. The breakfast was good value for money concerning the food but the restaurant staff was quite rude and unexperienced. The lady seemed to not be able to answer my questions about the food on the menu.
The rooms were nicely decorated and cozy and the reception was helpful when I asked for directions to the shops around.
