The Rockwell seamlessly blends boutique luxury with an innate sense of character, with bright interiors, pale walls, cozy furnishings, just 40 rooms, a pretty walled garden and a home-away-from-home feel. How to Get There
Very friendly helpful staff. perfectly nice room over looking the road but very quiet with glazed windows. Super breakfast and good coffee! The location was good and pretty easy to hail a taxi. Nice reception area and restaurant/bar.. would definitely stay there again if I wanted a reasonably priced no frills but excellent small hotel.
I stayed at The Rockwell for three nights on a mini break to London with my daughter. Our room was small but well appointed and spotlessly clean The hotel itself was clean and welcoming. The area was ultra convenient for getting around London a two min walk away from Earls Court tube and lots of nice car eating places nearby. The best bit of this hotel has to be the staff who were so welcoming and helpful and went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable with our room and aware of the facilities on offer. We were greeted with smiles and acknowledged every time we entered or left. I would highly recommend staying here and I hope I get an opportunity to return in the near future.
Wow. What a fantastic hotel. We were visiting London for our wedding anniversary and didn’t want a mainstream hotel.. we booked the Rockwell and we were so glad we did. Staff were lovely, room was spotless, shower was powerful location was great... 5 minute walk to Gloucester Rd tube station...and they upgraded our room for our anniversary. Will definitely be back and will recommend to anyone visiting London.
I booked a the Rockwell fairly last minute. Location good but no atmosphere in bar- tiny room that day less than10 people! Silence was not welcoming in this space. Room was very clean but so small considering I paid extra for a ‘superior single room ‘. I tried to work at desk but chair was too low. Given my bar experience I didn’t risk the £13.50 breakfast, as there were some lovely cafes close by.
Always unsure of what to expect when booking in London but this hotel has a employed a good use of space.
The room was clean and tidy and absolutely no noise from the main road outside.
Your an easy walk from Earls Court Tube station and also plenty of cafes, restaurants and a Sainsbury's express store.
The shower is small but my one was clean and working well. Yes space is tight but compared to some hotels I've stayed in in London this hotel had obviously thought about best use of space.
Some hotels are a bit soulless in London but actually here the staff were friendly available and happy to help. They kept hold of our bags after we checked out as we were at an event .
We didn't try the bar or restaurant but that's because we prefer to eat out .
All in all good value for money, clean and tidy and friendly staff.
Points to consider :
If you struggle with stairs the split level room and small staircase might be difficult so enquire before booking.
The tea, coffee and water are complimentary however before you dive in those biscuits crisps and chocolate incur charges.
