How to Get There
Really enjoyed this hotel. Great location - across the street from the Victoria and Albert Museum, short walk to the underground, easy walk to Kensington and Hyde Parks. Nice rooms, friendly staff and good breakfast which was included. We will definitely stay here again.
The hotel was located a few minutes from the South Kensington metro station. There were lots of shops and restaurants nearby. We walked to Harrods, Kensington Palace, Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey from the hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. Morning breakfast had a lot of choices even though the menu didn’t change. The hotel lent us a cell phone for free! This was a major bonus. We used it for directions and I was able to call my family without using my own personal cell phone. Highly recommend this hotel!
My husband and I enjoyed our stay here for the most part. The positives: quiet room on the 4th floor in the back, very clean, comfy bed; good hotel location close to museums, shopping and a tube stop, quickly served and delicious Blue Hawaiian drink in the bar, breakfast buffet with quite a few choices of hot and cold food, fresh and tasty; front desk staff quite helpful. The only not so positive - our first room was on the first floor close to the elevator and was so noisy my husband could not sleep - but upon request the next morning the front desk staff agreed to move us and did so very promptly - it was much appreciated. Definitely worth a stay here and we hope to return.
Excellent location just opposite the V&A, with lots to do in the immediate vicinity, and just a five minute walk from South Kensington Underground. Lots of nearby restaurants, and close to Hyde Park and Kensington Palace. A very good room spotlessly clean and well maintained by the staff, a comfortable bar and lounge area, efficient front desk and knowledgeable and helpful concierge service. Good breakfast, but can get very busy.
We loved the location, since there were great restaurants and stores nearby, but it wasn’t a tourist-focused area. The room was small, but comfortable. It had a great view and was very quiet. The breakfast was included and really exceptional. I love the classic English breakfast and the hotel had all the fixings.
The main sites are a few tube stops and a walk away, but we preferred that.
The staff was very friendly. They do get busy at times, so it’s important to leave time to check out.
