Good location
Reviewed 1 day ago

We stayed here for 2 nights after travelling back from Australia. The bellboy helped with our luggage to the room which was really appreciated.

The room itself has nice decor but is a little small, however in our room we had a little hallway which we stored our bags in so we had more space. The mattress on the bed was quite hard and I didn't find it that comfortable. The bathroom was very nice with a good shower.

Wouldn't really recommend the full English breakfast, not worth the £15 we paid per person. Can definitely find nicer food not far from the hotel for a more reasonable price!

Overall a nice stay and would come again.

Payment system
Reviewed 5 days ago

Lovely helpful staff. We had a room upgrade, clean and comfortable. My husband was not allowed to have keys to the room until I had arrived with the payment card the room was booked with. We both had to show photographic ID. I was then asked to give them the original payment card that I had used to book it with by prepayment in order to get the keys. I pointed out that I may not have taken this card with me, or that someone else could have booked the room for us. We were told that if this was the case, they would have to cancel the original booking, refund the original payment, and make us pay again! Absurd. They then took a swipe of my original payment card on an old credit card type machine and asked me to sign for it. This ridiculous system should be reviewed. We could have been left without a room if I had not taken the original payment card with me, as they would then have had to cancel the pre payment, and make me to pay again! They were insistent that it must be done this way.

Good room spoilt by poor bathroom
Reviewed 1 week ago

Hotel very welcoming in quiet street. The staff very friendly and helpful. Room big and quiet but spoiled by the awful pokey bathroom that is in fact a wet room. The shower leaks over the whole floor. A little thought and six inches extra space would have rectified this. Oh and being woken by ten seconds of the fire alarm at 07:20 is no fun. Bed large and comfortable. Not much storage/hanging space if you are staying for more than a night or two. Breakfast buffet with good choice and chef willing to make omelette if required.

Quiet and nice

Stayed for two nights. The room was on the top floor and was the perfect size for a single person. The bed was comfortable and the room had air conditioning, and it even had a designated smartphone that you can use while you're there. It just felt really well taken care of and updated. The street is quiet, as is the area, and it's situated close to two different underground stations (Paddington and Lancaster Gate). Friendly and helpful staff.

Don’t need an alarm on Sunday

Disappointed to be woken at 03:00.

Reception apologised and asked me to send video footage of three men and their van outside my window throwing laundry down the stairs and in to the back of a van in case they were actually robbers! I happily shared the footage and am still waiting a response. At breakfast in the morning I heard another couple complain that they were woken up in the night with some banging.

The hotel, room and facilities are really nice and well kept, so it’s a shame my experience was wrecked by the 03:00 banging.
