How to Get There
I spent a week in London on business, with a little sightseeing at the end, and found The Grosvenor Hotel a perfect location. It is right on the Victoria Station train/tube lines. That's a great plus. But I recommend asking for a room on an upper floor as some colleagues who were on lower floors said they heard train announcements in their rooms. The hotel is a brisk walk from Whitehall and other government offices, and near shops, restaurants and the theater. There's a tea lounge off the lobby, which is good for business meetings. Elegant foyer.
I stayed at Grosvenor hotel between 16-20th February. I was given to check up at 1pm which is fine and a taxi being booked to Heathrow airport . At 12.35 noon, I called for Bell service to bring my luggage’s down . The lady in the reception answered and said will send someone . However , by 1pm, no one came.
I have rushed my bags down to meet up the check out time amid the boomed-taxi is awaiting . Please take note this hotel is an old fashion building that one have to walk a long way down the hall .
When i struggled down to the lobby, only then the bell boy assisted me to the taxi .
I will not stay in Grosvenor again because it has obvious coordination problems .
This hotel is perfect because it is as close as you can get to the London Victoria train station. We flew into Gatwick, took the Gatwick express (30mins) to the London Victoria station and entered the hotel from inside the station (you can enter form outside as well). The hotel is beautiful and had great service. Comfortable bed and clean. We walked everywhere, but you can take the train so easily due to location. So many great eats near by. You do have a lot of people around from the train congestion and in certain rooms can hear it, but not so loud you can’t sleep and I’m pretty sure it all stopped around 11pm. I would recommend this to anyone coming to visit London.
Such a beautiful hotel. We stayed in February for a birthday theatre break for my husband. The staff went the extra mile with a birthday surprise in our room. Although breakfast was a little dissapointing in the options, it's not enough to put us off, I will certainly return to this hotel as it's in such a fantastic location and we were made to feel very special.
We have stayed a couple of times so far, the service and staff are first class, the rooms are very clean, comfortable and spacious. It is perfect from Victoria Station to drop off your cases and enjoy visiting all the attractions of London. The breakfast was excellent too!!
