How to Get There
The Victoria and Albert Suite, together with the adjoining room, are a perfect combination for a family traveling together to enjoy luxury and spaciousness while being close to your kids. The suite is ideal and appointed to perfection. That being said, without the staff to enhance all of the Egerton's beautiful appointments, it would not be a grand as it is. The staff is well trained to execute service and engage with clients in a familiar way without encroaching too much. It's really a perfect balance. They can recommend the perfect white wine or mix a dry martini; or arrange theatre tickets at the last minute. I've been a guest at this hotel before the Red Carnation group took over and they have done nothing but make it better.
Took my mum and sister here for afternoon tea. Hotel is super cute and quaint. The service is very personal and the staff were so polite and happy to assist any way they could. The food was delicious, I chose the vegan option and it did not disappoint. The afternoon tea is dog friendly too which makes a nice change!
If you would like a more intimate afternoon tea I suggest this place!
With wonderful memories from a prior visit, we were finally able to return to The Egerton House to celebrate my wife's birthday and our anniversary. As in the past, our stay was perfect. Our room overlooking the garden was exceptional. The hotel is beautiful inside and out. The location is great for sight seeing, shopping or just wandering the town. We enjoyed cocktails in the evening in the intimate bar and delicious cooked to order breakfast in the morning. However, what makes the hotel great is the kind courteous staff. From the moment we walked in we were treated like returning special friends. They could not do enough to make our stay more enjoyable, including a special anniversary treatment. Our thanks to Michelle, Andiswa, Sahbi and the entire staff for your outstanding service. We would not dream of staying anywhere else in London.
This picturesque establishment is just a six minute walk from the Victoria and Albert. With reservations it was the perfect place to enjoy high tea in London, accommodating two difficult dietary needs- one vegan and one gluten free due to allergies. The staff made us feel special, and best yet, didn’t seem phased by the typical antics of a young child.
We spent five nights at Egerton House while on European vacation and were not disappointed. The entire staff was courteous and professional. Hotel is on the small side which entirely adds to its charm. The location is close to museums, restaurants and great shopping like Harrods. I would definitely recommend this place especially for couples and business travelers. Might not work so well for families....
